Founded in 1961, the WWF is the world’s leading conservation organization that protects land and aquatic animals. It operates at every level, from local to global, and is present in around 100 countries, with over six million supporters worldwide. The organization also works to create a more sustainable Earth by reducing fossil fuels and restoring natural resources.

Since 1984, Best Friends Animal Society has been leading the no-kill movement to end unnecessary animal euthanasia in shelters across the United States. It collaborates with more than 5,500 shelters and rescue groups to implement tangible lifesaving tactics, positively impacting every community in the country. It also runs the nation’s largest no-kill animal sanctuary. Best Friends has helped reduce the number of animals killed in shelters from an estimated 17 million per year to around 415,000. Together with its partners and supporters, the organization is working to Save Them All.

For more than 70 years, Humane World for Animals has been a leader in the animal protection movement. Formerly known as The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International, the organization has been committed to ending animal cruelty and suffering. They help protect domestic animals from harm, homelessness, and breeding. The nonprofit also safeguards large wildlife from captivity, animal testing, and hunting. Donations go towards funding a brighter future for all animals.

For over 150 years, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has rescued animals from inhumane environments all around the United States. The charity’s care includes investigations, rescues, and veterinary care for both domestic and farm animals. ASPCA also helps to implement animal-protection laws. Your donation helps to stop animal cruelty and place animals in safe homes.

Since 2011, Wags & Walks has been working to save vulnerable shelter dogs through family-friendly foster and adoption programs. It hopes to break the stigma of rescue dogs, particularly harder-to-adopt dogs, and save them from being euthanized in local shelters. It operates in West LA and Nashville and has saved more than 15,000 dogs to date.

The Wild Animal Sanctuary is a 40,000-acre environment, home to more than 1,000 animals, including lions, tigers, bears, wolves, and mustangs. The sanctuary network, which has three sites, is the largest of its kind in the world and hopes to give these vulnerable animals a new chance at life. Two facilities host captive-born exotic animal species, while the other is entirely dedicated to saving Colorado Mustangs. The majority (95%) of animals at the sanctuary have been confiscated from illegal or abusive situations by law enforcement agencies.

Since 1975, The Marine Mammal Center has worked on the front line of ocean conservation. Its vital work in rescue and rehabilitation has intercepted more than 26,000 marine mammals to date. Some animals that the charity helps are sea otters, seals, manatees, and whales. As well as rescuing individual animals to give them a new chance at life, the organization is a leader in research and education to help drive change in how we interact with and impact the ocean and marine life.  The organization works across the Pacific Ocean from California to Hawaii.

Dogs on Deployment provides military personnel with peace of mind by ensuring their pets are well cared for during deployment. It believes no one should be forced to surrender their pet due to military obligations when serving their country. It operates a network of volunteer boarders who provide temporary homes for pets when needed. Their mission helps to relieve emotional stressors, ensure military readiness, and strengthen families.

Angels for Mistreated Animals or AMA Animal Rescue is a Brooklyn-based, no-kill animal shelter. Since the organization launched in 2014, it has safeguarded and rehabilitated vulnerable animals who have experienced severe abuse and abandonment, offering them a new chance at life. Recently, it opened its doors to its first physical shelter, helping animals find their forever homes.

WCN is at the forefront of sustainable wildlife protection by working with pioneering conservationists in the field. It operates in a venture capital-style by offering financial, organizational, and strategic support to conservationists doing vital work across the world. As well as its work with conservation partners, it operates species-focused wildlife grants and supports rising wildlife leaders in the field through mentoring and grants. The organization reports that 100% of designated donations are allocated directly to its partners, with no overhead expenses deducted.
