    All Hands & Hearts is on the ground in Jamaica, ready to support communities impacted by Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm, possibly the strongest to ever hit the island.

    The Salvation Army is poised to respond as Hurricane Melissa, the first Category 5 storm to strike Jamaica, brings devastating winds, storm surge, and catastrophic flooding after strengthening over the weekend.

    Americares is ready to deliver critical medicines and relief supplies, as well as emergency funding to ensure health services are available in the wake of the storm. We plan to deploy an emergency response team to the region as soon as possible after the storm passes.

    CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) has launched a $200K Match Fund to double every donation for emergency relief & recovery for Hurricane Melissa — the strongest storm on the planet this year — hitting Jamaica and Haiti with 160 mph winds and catastrophic flooding.

    GEM is actively responding to Hurricane Melissa across the Caribbean – prepositioning aid in Jamaica, deploying ships to Haiti, and mobilizing cargo planes of supplies to support immediate relief and long-term recovery.

    Direct Relief has committed an initial $250,000 in financial support and offered up its entire medical inventory to health providers in the Caribbean. They stand ready to respond in coordination with regional partners as Melissa’s impacts, and the region’s medical needs after the storm, become clearer.

    Hope for Haiti’s disaster preparedness and relief initiatives empower local resilience and position our team for rapid, effective response when disaster strikes.

    World Food Program USA is working with partners to coordinate logistics, cash and emergency supplies across Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti and the Dominican Republic in response of Hurricane Melissa.

    Project C.U.R.E. is in Jamaica with containers filled with trauma, emergency, orthopedic, and surgical supplies that will support the frontline providers during the hard days ahead. The plan is in place, and lifesaving aid is ready to move where it can make the greatest impact.

    Airlink is taking action in response to Hurricane Melissa by mobilizing their network of airline partners, humanitarian organizations, and governmental entities.
