    Nonprofits Supporting Hurricane Helene Relief

    Direct Relief has provided over $11 million in medicines and emergency medical supplies following Hurricane Helene, along with more than $4 million in financial assistance to community health centers, free clinics, and other healthcare providers and nonprofit organizations in affected communities.

    Team Rubicon supports the community in all parts of the disaster cycle. The Long-Term Recovery program reaches beyond the immediate response phase of the disaster cycle and into the recovery and resilience phases, as they return homeowners to homes repaired with resilient materials and techniques and more capable of weathering the next disaster.

    Americares shipped more than 17 tons of medicine and relief supplies and gave more than $1 million in emergency funding to 31 partner organizations in affected areas. They continue to support mental health services for survivors in the region through funding and capacity building.

    CORE is rebuilding communities with a focus on long-term resiliency after Hurricane Helene—restoring 75 mobile homes and distributing 230,000+ essential supplies, including water, hygiene kits, baby items, and ready-to-eat meals.

    All Hands and Hearts has been on the ground in North Carolina for nearly 12 months supporting families affected by Hurricane Helene through muck and gut services, mold sanitation, and critical home repairs—reaching over 9,500 individuals and helping communities rebuild with resilience and long-term impact.
