SAN DIEGO – June 3, 2025 – GoFundMe.org has announced the appointment of two distinguished leaders to its Board of Directors: Sarah Haacke Byrd, Chief Executive Officer of Women Moving Millions, and Kobie Fuller, General Partner at Upfront Ventures. GoFundMe.org, a strategic nonprofit partner to GoFundMe, has a mission to raise and mobilize charitable donations to help individuals and communities impacted by crises, natural disasters, and social inequalities.

“We are honored to welcome Sarah and Kobie to the GoFundMe.org Board of Directors,” said Margaret Richardson, Board Chair, GoFundMe.org. “Their expertise will be invaluable as we scale GoFundMe.org to meet growing demand for direct cash assistance, deepen our impact through new partnerships, and engage a broader community of donors committed to rapid, people-powered relief.”
Sarah Haacke Byrd brings more than two decades of leadership in philanthropy, gender equity, and social impact. As CEO of Women Moving Millions, she leads a global community committed to investing boldly in gender equity. Previously, Sarah held executive roles at the Joyful Heart Foundation, where she championed efforts to end the national backlog of untested rape kits and advanced broader initiatives to support survivors of violence. She also serves on the Board of Future Forward Women, is an Aspen Institute Civil Society Fellow, and was recently recognized as an Innovator on the TIME 100 Philanthropy list of 2025.
“GoFundMe.org is redefining how we respond to human need—with urgency, equity, and trust at the center,” said Sarah Haacke Byrd. “I’m honored to join the board and support its mission to connect people with the resources they need to heal, rebuild, and thrive.”
Kobie Fuller brings over two decades of leadership in venture capital, technology innovation, and community building. He is a General Partner at Upfront Ventures, where he has led investments in transformative companies across enterprise software and immersive tech. Kobie is also the founder of Valence Community, a platform created to empower and connect Black professionals, and a founding team member of Steadfast LA, an initiative focused on community-driven wildfire relief. Previously, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at REVOLVE, where he helped scale the company’s digital strategy. Kobie is widely recognized for his commitment to investing in both people and platforms that drive lasting social impact.
“I believe in the power of communities to drive meaningful change, and GoFundMe.org is uniquely positioned to amplify that power through direct, people-first support, as I witnessed firsthand during the aftermath of the LA wildfires,” said Kobie Fuller. “Now more than ever, we need bold solutions for urgent challenges—and I look forward to helping GoFundMe.org deliver meaningful support at scale.”
