Brownsville is a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn. It’s one of the toughest areas in New York and the community faces a lot of obstacles. Eric Jordan is a high school English teacher at Frederick Douglass Academy VII, a public high school in the Brownsville area. When Eric was younger, he had the opportunity to live & travel abroad and it left a profound impact on him. Eric noticed that most of his students didn’t have access to the same kinds of opportunities, so he set out a way to bring the dream of travel a little bit closer for them.
