Hi, my name is Raghd Zeidan - I’m a content creator known as @zeidaner on Instagram

A few months ago, while filming in Jerusalem, I met a curious Palestinian kid named Yaser.

He was fascinated by me vlogging, so I spontaneously gave him my camera and told him to film whatever he wanted.

Long story short: he filmed himself, I uploaded his little vlog, the video went viral overnight, thousands fell in love with Yaser, and thousands started to follow him.

Then, I decided to run a fundraiser, to get him a new phone and microphone to kickstart his journey - and also took the change to raise money and donate the extra funds to World Central Kitchen to help families in Gaza.

I'm happy to say that my community did not disappoint, and we managed not only get Yaser his phone, but raised thousands of dollars that we donated to people in Gaza.

See the first and second part of this story.
And now, its time for the third part.

If you remember, in the first video, when I first met Yaser, I told him something simple but important:

“Do your best in English”

Why?

Because I strongly believe that, nowadays, having good English can change your life.

I too, was once a Palestinian kid in an unknown village - and having a good English, especially at a young age, opened countless doors for me, and I could not be more grateful to my parents who made sure this happened.

It helped me get a job in tech, travel the world, tell my story, and even create this fundraiser - and so much more.

Today, English is more than just a language, and I want other Palestinian kids to have that same chance.

So, I want help, under-privileged Palestinian kids learn English.

I’m collaborating with the Helen Cultural Center , an educational institute based in Ramallah, Palestine.

Us together when I visited their center.

The main classroom in the center

Heres how its going to work:

They will set up foundational English courses for underprivileged kids aged 8–16 and we will work on providing English courses to kids who cannot afford them.

Each $130 raised through this fundraiser, will provide one kid a two-month English course (8 classes total, price converted to USD at the time of writing this message)

They will work on selecting children from underprivileged families in the Palestinian community in Ramallah, the West Bank. In addition, they will provide updates on the progress of each group of students supported through this fundraiser. Basically a way for donors to see their impact.

A course will start each time we raise enough for 10 kids (approx. $1300)

Similar to the first fundraiser, the funds will first be received by my trusted friend Sibonay Koo, since I am unable to receive them directly from goFundMe (ineligible country).

As usual, everything will be documented and transparent transferred to my trusted friend Sibonay Koo, due to my inability to receive those funds (ineligible country).

If you can’t donate, sharing this page helps just as much.

Thank you for believing in it.
