<div><strong>A few months ago,</strong> while filming in Jerusalem, I met a curious Palestinian kid named Yaser.

<div>He was <strong>fascinated</strong> by me vlogging, so I spontaneously gave him my camera and told him to film whatever he wanted.

<div><strong>Long story short:</strong> he filmed himself, I uploaded his little vlog, the video went viral overnight, thousands fell in love with Yaser, and thousands started to follow him.

<div><strong>Then</strong>, I decided to run a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-yaser-and-palestinians" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">fundraiser</a>, to get him a new phone and microphone to kickstart his journey - and also took the change to raise money and donate the extra funds to World Central Kitchen to help families in Gaza.

<div><strong>I'm happy to say</strong> that my community did not disappoint, and we managed not only get Yaser his phone, but raised thousands of dollars that we donated to people in Gaza.

<div>Because I strongly believe that, nowadays, <strong>having good English can change your life</strong>.
</div>

</div>
<div>I too, was once a Palestinian kid in an unknown village - and having a good English, especially at a young age, opened <strong>countless</strong> <strong>doors</strong> for me, and I could not be more grateful to my parents who made sure this happened.
</div>

<div>It helped me <strong>get a job</strong> in tech, <strong>travel</strong> the world, <strong>tell my story</strong>, and even create this fundraiser - and so much more.
</div>

<div>Today, English is <strong>more than just a language</strong>, and I want other Palestinian kids to have that same chance.
</div>

<div><strong>So, I want help, under-privileged Palestinian kids learn English.</strong>

<div>I’m collaborating with the <a href="https://helenacademy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Helen Cultural Center</a> , an educational institute based in Ramallah, Palestine.

<div><strong>Heres how its going to work:</strong>

<div>They will set up foundational English courses for underprivileged kids aged 8–16 and we will work on providing English courses to kids who cannot afford them.
</div>

</div>
<div>Each $130 raised through this fundraiser, will provide one kid a two-month English course (8 classes total, price converted to USD at the time of writing this message)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They will work on selecting children from underprivileged families in the Palestinian community in Ramallah, the West Bank. In addition, <strong>they will provide updates on the progress of each group of students supported through this fundraiser. </strong>Basically a way for donors to see their impact.
