#FridaysForFuture is a movement that started in August 2018, after the Swedish high-school student Greta Thunberg sat in protest in front of the Swedish parliament every school-day for three weeks. The hashtags #FridaysForFuture and #ClimateStrike spread and many students around the world began to demand real action against climate change and commitment to the Paris Agreement from their elected officials.
