Meet Mikayla

6 Stones charity . Hurst, Texas .

Ever since she was a toddler, Mikayla Rydzeski dreamed of running her own lemonade stand. One hot summer day, her dream finally came true. Mikayla hosted a lemonade stand to support 6 Stones’ Operation Back 2 School event, which provides kids in her local community with school supplies.

To make sure everyone could support her lemonade stand, no matter where they live, Mikayla’s parents created a GoFundMe. With the help of her community, she raised an additional $8,000.

In the words of Mikayla, “It was just the best thing in my life to help others.”

    #StandForSomething

Celebrating the next generation of changemakers

As early as seven years old, kids begin to connect asking for help with appearing incompetent in front of others. But at GoFundMe, we believe that asking for help is powerful. #StandForSomething is a fun and easy way for parents to teach their kids how to ask for help while supporting causes that matter to them.
