AAPI Violence Prevention & Response Initiative
The National Compassion Fund, in partnership with Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association, GAPABA Law Foundation, and the Korean American Bar Association of Georgia has launched the National AAPI Violence Prevention & Response Initiative, which will seek to prevent bias-motivated violence against the Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and assist victims in the aftermath of such crimes.

About the funds
The Atlanta 3/16 Survivors Fund, is dedicated to supporting the victims and survivors of the horrible acts of violence committed in Atlanta and Acworth, Georgia on March 16, 2021
The AAPI Crime Victims and Education Fund, which will provide financial assistance to other AAPI crime victims anywhere in the United States and support educational and awareness programs aimed at reducing violence targeted towards the AAPI community.

The Atlanta 3/16 Survivors Fund will be administered by the National Compassion Fund. One hundred percent (100%) of the funds donated to this fund will go directly to survivors and victims of this atrocity. The National Compassion Fund is a subsidiary of the National Center for Victims of Crime, the nation’s leading resource and advocacy organization for crime victims and those who serve them. The National Center for Victims of Crime is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a leading authority in compensating victims of mass casualty events.
The AAPI Crime Victims and Education Fund will be overseen by the GAPABA Law Foundation (“GLF”), the nonprofit arm of the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association (GAPABA). Over the last ten years, GLF has distributed over $250,000 in grants and funds received primarily from corporations and law firms. GLF will receive and hold the fund until its Board of Directors selects a fund administrator. The fund will ultimately be available on a nationwide basis until exhausted to provide financial assistance to other AAPI crime victims and support educational and awareness programs aimed at reducing violence targeted towards the AAPI community.
