<div>Our Aunt Karen (or Auntie KK, as we've always called her) has just started treatment for stage 3 lymphoma. This is her fourth cancer diagnosis. She's already beaten breast cancer, melanoma, and thyroid cancer, and she's now facing this health challenge with the same quiet determination that's gotten her through it all before.

<div>KK has spent her life taking care of other people and has faced a disproportionate level of loss and adversity. She tragically lost her beloved husband, Pat, when their daughter Tatiana was just three years old, and she raised Tatiana as a single mother. In addition to her own four cancer diagnoses, she's also lost her brother and both of her parents to cancer. Through all of it, she's been the person others lean on, showing up for family and friends through their own hardest moments, never once asking for help for herself. She has been an incredible, steadfast aunt who has always supported us through life's ups and downs.

<div>And through every bit of that adversity, KK's spirit has never once dimmed. She is one of the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet, with a sense of humor that can turn any hard day around. She is a true optimist who finds the good in almost anything, and she lives with a joie de vivre that's rare and contagious. Being around KK is a gift; she has a way of making everyone feel seen, loved, and a little lighter. That light is exactly what we want to protect right now.

Cosmo has always been a bright spot in my life, but lately he’s been struggling. He’s been throwing up constantly, and it’s been heartbreaking to watch him go through so many vet visits. <div>Luca was born in the afternoon on Friday, December 6. He was immediately taken to the NICU because he couldn’t pump his little heart on his own and he presented with potential signs of brain injury during labor. Doctors in Maine immediately intervened and he was placed on life support and put into a medically induced coma as they began a 72 hour cooling procedure called therapeutic hypothermia. After close monitoring of his heart, he was transferred to Boston’s Children’s Hospital via Life Flight so that we could receive critical care and life saving treatment.

<div>Lauren and Jesse have been back and forth between South Portland and Boston so they can be close to little Luca while trying to maintain some normalcy for Margo. It has been a scary time and they are taking it day by day. What we know now is that doctors are working hard to figure out what’s going on and keep teeny Luca’s heart working, and that several days in, he’s making positive progress.

Support and Love for Lauren, Jesse, and their new Baby Luca

<div>Hi, I'm Travis Hayden. On Tuesday, January 7th, <strong>my home burned down in the Palisades Fire</strong>. The entire place was destroyed along with several personal items. Ultimately, I was never able to secure fire insurance because my house was built pre-1972 and in a fire zone. No one would insure it.
</div>

<div>I loved this space so much. I absolutely loved living on the beach. This was my dream home. Even when I took a chef job in Silverlake, the hour plus commute never bothered me because I could fall asleep with the sea breeze (I didn't close my bedroom window for 5 years!) and wake up and surf every morning.

<div>I poured my heart into the space, remodeling everything myself. I did the cabinetry, the floors, cut out the sink, I reroofed it myself, even built a redwood deck with an out door shower during lockdown. I always said I'd never sell it in a million years and I'd always keep it in my family. My heart is broken to see it gone.

<div>Greetings Everyone, My name is Sechita and Everyone knows me as Shay White. I am coming to ask for help with the expenses of my one and only little lady. Sha-Derika Monay Weldon. She transitioned peacefully yesterday morning at home with me and her little brothers Elias 14, Derrick 5 and Malachi 4. Monay was a light in our family of boys that God brought together via foster care May of 2022. The boys grew to love her over the last two years she’s was apart of our family. We traveled all over the county, visited landmarks, colleges and Universities. I truly poured into her what every young person should have. She attended Sunday School at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church, was a member of the Midtown High School &amp; Mays High School Community. She enjoyed volunteering with the IATSE 479 Back to School Bash, and she looked forward to being apart of the Midtown High a school Theatre production this season. Monay as she would like to be called, was an advocate for those disabled. She would always say “When I get older I want to work with kids who are like me as well as work with homeless people”. Monay was an active member of the Atlanta Thrive organization to ouch for change within the Atlanta Public Schools community as a student. Her transitioning to the spirit realm has hit our household, our neighbors our community hard and more importantly her family hard. Monay’s loving and bubbly spirit will forever be remembered. From Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, California, North Carolina, South Carolina her had an impact out my friends, family and coworkers.

<div>She could always been seen at my union meetings hanging out in the lobby to being my roll dog when I would do Uber deliveries. Last week she attended her very first premiere of a movie with celebrities where she walked the carpet and took photos. Her passing is certainly untimely and shocking. As a single mother of now three, I need help coving the costs associated with her homegoing services. The funeral will be held September 11th, 2024 at Christ Tabernacle Charlotte NC 321 Tom Hunter Rd Charlotte, NC  at 11 am for her services and burial in the same cemetery where her biological family is already laid to rest. Any and all funds to assist me would be greatly appreciated. I will be taking my children and myself into counseling in which we definitely need help as my health insurance C4 will be cut off as I can not afford the premiums. Now that I have the funeral expenses and I have not worked since her passing and I need every bit of help to pay September’s rent and for food for the boys and I. I can not afford to cover it plus all the bills associated with preparation for my and the three boys. Worst feeling is to see how my youngest sons father has refused to assist even down to stop paying all support especially at a time like this and my family has been of no emotional support during such a hard time. But God is amazing because within my community of friends from all over they are doing their best to help us.

<div>As Hurricane Helene left its wake of destruction in WNC, it has left many like Elizabeth with an unbelievable task of trying to identify next steps after complete destruction of their home. Liz is a single mom, labor and delivery nurse, and nurse mid-wife student (soon to be graduate). Thankfully Liz and her daughter Natalie were able to escape their home just hours before it was completely submerged with water. As a result, their house is in a complete state of destruction as are their belongings. As a long-time friend of Liz I would love to see some funds raised for her and Natalie as they navigate these difficult next several months.

<div>There are so many devastating losses in Western NC right now, it is hard to wrap our heads around it and know where to start to help. Our community faces a long uphill road to recovery, and there are so many people who need assistance. Part of what makes this community so vibrant and wonderful are the small businesses that provide us with unique and fun places to come together. And if you know Brandon and Davie, you know how much of their heart and soul went into creating their bar and coffee shop, DayTrip which just opened a little over a month ago. They spent countless months and so much blood, sweat and tears renovating the space and realizing their dream of creating a cozy and quirky place for friends and neighbors to come and feel welcome. And it was that place for a sweet brief time. But when Hurricane Helene hit Western N.C., DayTrip, along with so many other small businesses along the French Broad, was completely destroyed. As everyone is trying to navigate through the slow process of insurance claims, the bills are still coming due, and the employees have no income until they rebuild. Brandon and Davie used their life savings and took out a large business loan to get this dream of theirs started. In all, they put over $180,000 into this business and are now facing the daunting task of rebuilding from the ground up. They need to pay their business loans and other bills and, in typical Brandon and Davie fashion, their first concern was their employees. They really want to be able to provide their employees with some assistance during this extremely difficult time.

<div>Frances is almost 12 years old. We first started to notice something wrong when she was 3. She was diagnosed with speech and other developmental delays along with ADHD.
</div>
<div>What started as seemingly subtle delays and inattention eventually turned into tremor, drop seizures, and myoclonic jerking.
</div>
<div>Recent evaluations show she is half her age developmentally, and via genetic testing we recently received a definitive diagnosis.
</div>

</div>
<div>Frances has an extremely rare genetic mutation of DHDDS. She is 1 of 6 known cases in the world. While there was no hope for a cure a decade ago, medical science is now in the experimental phases of developing treatments for rare diseases.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, because this is so rare, it receives very little research funding. These types of diagnoses leave families isolated and overwhelmed with the gargantuan task of raising the funds that go to improving and hopefully saving the lives of the people they love. There is no insurance company to go through. There are no medications that exist.
</div>

</div>
<div>Due to the lack of data and people diagnosed with it, our only hope that has emerged so far is personalized medicine. We are yet to have confirmation that Frances is a viable candidate. Every day that goes by is a ticking clock. For the few people/kids diagnosed with DHDDS, desperately chasing researchers and scientists is a full time job. These treatments can take time to develop which can be a terrifying thought. They can also cost up to 5 million dollars.
</div>

<div>Frances has changed our lives with her compassion and strength. We want to continue to see her laughing, singing, dancing, telling stories and jokes, giving hugs, and being her magical social self. Help us alleviate her physical and mental challenges that cause her so much frustration, anguish and pain. She is approaching adolescence which for some with rare neurological disorders can be the beginning of decline.
</div>
<div>So far she already experiences seizures, hypotonia, ataxia, scoliosis, tremor, migraines, anxiety, frequent nausea and vomiting, photosensitivity, joint pain and muscle weakness. All a direct result of this disease. We live in fear daily that the worst is yet to come.

Ryan played such a significant role in the lives of those he loved: husband to Jill, father to Parker, Charlie, and Stevie (and Sonny), son to Camille and Robert, stepson to Mike and Simone, brother to Meredith and Robbie, uncle to Camille, Russell and Mikey, and dear friend to so many. Ryan was the love of Jill’s life, and Jill was Ryan’s, spending the past 14 years building the life they dreamed of together. Ryan’s most significant role was being a father to his three beautiful daughters, Parker (age 4) and twins Charlie and Stevie (age 1). If you were fortunate to know Ryan in recent years, you know being a father was paramount to his existence, and his love for his daughters was immeasurable. Ryan was the ultimate girl dad and a pillar in the girls' lives.

The Ross Family Fund

<div>On August 8, 2023, our brother Chris, his daughter Stasia, and their dog Frida lost their home, workplace and community in the Maui wildfire in Lahaina.

<div>Chris moved to Lahaina in 2004 and started at Cool Cat Cafe the same year. In 2010, Captain Jack's opened and has worked for both restaurants ever since. Stasia was born in November 2006. She’s starting her junior year and is active in water polo, but has participated in cheer, tumbling, and wrestling. Stasia will be a Lahainaluna grad, Class of 2025.

Support Chris, Stasia and Frida - Lahaina locals

Brad Raistrick, our Lead Release Manager, and a long-time Classy team member, lost his battle with cancer and passed away on Monday, February 22nd. <br /><br />Brad was diagnosed with cancer about one year ago and his unrelenting optimism and happy attitude in the face of his own mortality and health concerns left many of us shocked with the news of his passing. He was passionate about an eclectic array of life's treasures which drew many of us to Brad and opened doors for anyone to spark a connection with him. We all cherish memories of time spent with Brad, from looking out over the balcony onto the Petco Park stadium to receiving sage advice and tips on everything from food and craft beer to parenting. <br /><br />Brad hit his six year anniversary at Classy in January and said confidently that he'd never enjoyed working at a place so much because of Classy's mission and teammates. He felt fortunate to be one of the people who impacts and facilitates positive changes for people around the world. He is dearly missed as one of the most devout, hard-working, intelligent, and passionate people that we've ever met.<br /><br />Brad was married for 10 years to his wife Kristine and had two children, Audrey who is 8 and Luke who is 5. Classy will be hosting this fundraiser to support Brad's family during this heartbreaking time. Funds raised will go towards saving for his two children's college education and supporting Brad's mother. <p>Sarah and Ian are two college sweethearts who celebrated the happiest day of their lives when they tied the knot in September of last year.  Life got even better a couple months later when they found out they were expecting their first child: a little boy that would be called Wyatt Jenson. <br /><br />Sarah and Ian’s fairytale took a turn in April against the backdrop of the global COVID-19 pandemic. After 6 months of preparing for their new family and bonding with the pride and joy in Sarah’s womb, the couple felt the biggest heartache expecting parents can experience. Complications with preeclampsia ended baby Wyatt’s life before he could even take his first breath. If you know anything about 2nd trimester miscarriages, you know that Sarah faced the hardest day of her life when Wyatt Jenson was taken.    <br /><br />When all they wanted to do was grieve their loss, they were hit with more devastating news just two weeks later: Sarah’s doctors found a baseball-sized tumor in her intestine which turned out to be Stage 2 Cancer. Sarah is now under the care of Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center with a year-long treatment plan that includes chemo, radiation, and surgery.  While she fights cancer, she is also facing the possibility of infertility. The cancer is dangerously close to her reproductive organs so treatment could leave her unable to have children of her own. <br /><br />Unfortunately, these tragedies are not only physically and emotionally devastating, but also financially.  Despite it all, Sarah and Ian remain steadfast in their love and support of each other and remain hopeful to beat cancer and one day resume their plans of building a family together. To help relieve some of this financial burden we would like to humbly ask for your support.  Most importantly, we ask you to share their story and keep them both in your thoughts and prayers. Help Support Sarah’s Fight Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Brad.  I'm the owner of Nomad Donuts Bakery &amp;Cafe.  I'm looking to help out a member of our community.  If you've found your way to this campaign you're probably aware of Ray, a homeless man, that has been part of the North Park community for years.  Many people have reached out to offer help to Ray.  Thank you!!!! <br /><br />I spoke to Ray about what would help him most.  He has a goal of one day getting a debit card that he could use to buy the things he needs. He's not an addict and he doesn't drink, so don't be concerned he'll use the money that way.<br /><br />We started a Nomad gift card and take donations over the phone and charge his card.  While that helps there's only so many donuts and bagels he can eat!  <br /><br />Blankets, jackets and such weigh down his cart making it difficult to push.  They also make him a target for other homeless people, with not so good intentions.  If you would like to donate those things we can collect them at Nomad and take them to other organizations.<br /><br />Please help me to make a small difference in his life and in our community.  Thank you!!
