I’m supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention because mental health affects us all. Too often, we act like everything is okay when it’s not- and I want this fundraiser to be about finding light in the darkness.
I’d love this to be more than just a donation page. If you’re able to give, please let me know something that brought a smile to your face recently, send a photo, and I’ll post to my page. Big or small, those moments matter.
I’ll go first:
My family dog, Miela, is an angel on earth who brings endless love to anyone she meets. She was recently diagnosed with cancer, so I've been trying to spend as much time with her as possible. Today, we went to the beach and sat and watched the waves together. Watching her be so happy to smell the ocean and get lots of pets was the sweetest reminder that joy really does live in the simplest moments.
Even in the face of serious mental health challenges, asking for help can feel terrifying, but reaching out can save lives.
Since 2022, the national 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline has answered over 10 million calls, texts, and chats, providing immediate support to people in crisis. Donations to AFSP fund research, education, survivor support, and advocacy, helping over 500,000 people each year.
Thank you for donating, sharing, and being part of this community- every contribution, and every moment of light, matters. ❤️
