<div>Hello, my name is Elizabeth Jerlinski. I have known Angela Knupp for over 2 decades as a good friend and co-worker. Many of you know Angela through Harrisonburg City Public Schools as our wonderful school nurse at Harrisonburg High School. She has indeed touched the lives of thousands of students and many many co workers. Throughout her long standing career, she has supported numerous families, students, and staff. Her family has deep roots in our Harrisonburg/ Rockingham community as she and her husband both graduated from Rockingham County Schools and her daughters all graduated from Harrisonburg City Public Schools.

<div>She and her husband Marvin have 4 daughters who all went to Harrisonburg City Schools, Emily, Sydney, Audrey and Mallory.
</div>
<div>As you know by now, Angela and her family suffered a devastating home fire in early April which destroyed their home completely. You can tell from the cover picture nothing could be saved. By God's grace, no one was physically injured but the emotional pain and loss is great.
</div>
<div>In speaking with Angela recently they are taking it one breath and one day at a time. They don't know what lies ahead for them. From minute to minute there is so much to think about and plan.
</div>
<div>They do have a place to live for now.
</div>
<div>What they do know for sure is this will most likely be a 2 year process to rebuild.
</div>
<div>Angela has a beautiful family and they are all together right now sorting through insurance paperwork and basically figuring out what steps to do next.
</div>
<div>I know they are grateful for the loving, giving village of Harrisonburg City Public Schools and the whole Harrisonburg and Rockingham County friends who have reached out so far.
</div>
<div>They really don't know what they need right now. It is my goal to set up this Go Fund Me page as an additional resource for the Knupps as they move forward.
</div>

<div>My name is Pamela and I am a nurse practitioner. I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma on March 8 2019. I have failed 3 treatments (chemo regimens) and have the opportunity coming up to go onto a brand new therapy that will stop the myeloma cells from growing in my body. This therapy has about a 40% cure rate which we are praying for I will be one of the 40%.  It is called Tecvayli.

<div>I have not been able to do my regular family practice job and my income is severely affected. I have been working part time in pain management which has kept me in touch with my love of being an NP and helping people. 
</div>

<div>Late February I will need to be up at Stanford for at least two weeks for the initiation of this treatment. I have to arrange for hotel room for myself and my husband Kim. It’s doubtful Stanford will be able to accommodate us and I can’t come home as no one here in Fresno County has the knowledge to deal with the side effects. 
</div>

<div>We may also have to drive up weekly to get my treatment if my local oncologist refuses to carry this treatment due to the expense of it and the corporation losing money. So yet another expense coming up   We may have to get a hotel room each week depending on how this chemo makes me feel.  This chemo could make me sick and inhibit my ability to work which I’m praying it doesn’t but there is that chance.

<div>My hope is to be able to have the myeloma in remission or cure. To be able to feel like a normal person without severe fatigue, GI side effects daily and chemo fog. It would be wonderful not to have chemo pain in all my joints and back. 
</div>

<div>These funds will only be used for travel, hotels and expenses associated with the treatment and care at Stanford. 
</div>

Help to get life saving treatment at Stanford

<div>9/11 Endurance Run: With a great deal of running and support, 50 plus runners and volunteers, will run from Shanksville PA via the Pentagon, and on to New York for a 9/11 arrival. Over 450 miles of running, and our third year paying tribute to our heroes from 9/11. This year marks 25 years since the attacks on 9/11, a milestone year! Thirty runners will run the 175 miles from Shanksville and rally with the rest of our team at the Pentagon and begin our journey to New York. We will run from Arlington VA through the District of Columbia, into Maryland and North and East across Pennsylvania. By day three we will arrive in NJ and make our way to Staten Island and across the Hudson on the Ferry in time for 9/11. We will do readings at Shanksville and at the Pentagon for the fallen, and a prayer vigil in NY when we arrive. We are running to honor the memories of our heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice 24 years ago, and the legacy of Firefighter Stephen Siller, an inspiration to us all.
