<div>Extortion 17 was the call sign of a U.S. CH-47D Chinook helicopter shot down in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011, resulting in the tragic loss of 30 American service members, 7 Afghan commandos, and 1 military working dog. It stands as the single largest loss of U.S. military life in a single incident during the war in Afghanistan.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>In honor of the 15 year anniversary of this event, I will be participating in a 31 mile ruck march to honor each of the American lives lost that day, including Navy Seal service dog Bart.

Honoring Their Sacrifice by Supporting Navy SEAL Foundation

<div>The men of the United States Navy SEAL Teams operate in the most dangerous and demanding environments on earth. Their missions often happen in silence, and their sacrifices are rarely seen by the public. Yet behind every SEAL is a family that shares the weight of that service.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser is dedicated to supporting the Navy SEAL Foundation, an organization committed to providing critical assistance to SEALs, veterans, and their families. The foundation helps with immediate tragedy assistance, survivor support, educational programs for children, and mental health and transition services for warriors returning to civilian life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These men and women have committed their lives to protecting our country. Supporting them and their families is a responsibility we all share.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every dollar raised will help provide real support to those who have given so much in service.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you believe in standing behind those who stand for us, please consider contributing or sharing this campaign.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Together, we can make a meaningful difference.

Standing Behind SEALS: Supporting the Navy SEAL Foundation

<div>To remember those who fought and lost their lives for our country, I will be running 4.2 miles every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours, starting at 0800 Friday, 22 May. With this, I will be raising money for The Navy SEAL Foundation (NSF). NSF provides critical support for warriors, veterans, and families of Naval Special Warfare aligning their pillars of support around community, health, education, and legacy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you would like to learn more about NSF or support, please see the link below. I appreciate any and all support in advance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you are in the San Diego area I encourage you to bring a friend and join me for any amount of miles. I will have a table set up with a sign at the Catamaran Resort (on the bay side) in Mission Bay and will be starting every loop at the top of every hour. Below is the link to the route I will be running.
