Mission

The Navy SEAL Foundation provides critical support for the warriors, veterans, and families of Naval Special Warfare.
Extortion 17 was the call sign of a U.S. CH-47D Chinook helicopter shot down in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011, resulting in the tragic loss of 30 American service members, 7 Afghan commandos, and 1 military working dog. It stands as the single largest loss of U.S. military life in a single incident during the war in Afghanistan. In honor of the 15 year anniversary of this event, I will be participating in a 31 mile ruck march to honor each of the American lives lost that day, including Navy Seal service dog Bart.
