Owning property in New Mexico—a blue state with gender-affirming care shield laws and a low cost of living—is not just a dream but a step toward securing access to care. With your help, I hope to raise money for a down payment on a property in New Mexico, where I can find refuge, and offer housing to trans folks from red states seeking care or temporary solace. Unfortunately, life circumstances make this goal unattainable alone, so I'm asking help from my global community. I plan on continuing to live a daily life in Indiana. Sanctuary for Trans Folks

<div>Hi everyone! My name is Alex Gray, or as some of you know me, Son of a Butch. I am a 22 year old genderqueer lesbian living in so called Vancouver, Canada. I work in harm reduction during the day and in night life as a bar back/busser, sober buddy, and drag king. I came out as trans three years ago, and I started hormone replacement therapy four months ago. This has been a vital step to aligning myself with my gender identity and has improved my mental health significantly. I’m really excited to share that I will be going through the next step in my transition by getting top surgery with Dr. Mckee in early November. I am beyond grateful to have access to this gender affirming surgery, but my jobs in harm reduction and nightlife are very physically demanding and I will need to take a month off work to properly heal and recover. With your help, I am aiming to raise $3000 to help cover my living expenses as well as the additional medical costs while I recover from surgery. I’m beyond thankful to be receiving the care that I need and for being a part of such a wonderful and supportive community. He has said before that there isn't anything really left to say - just that his family needs help. He is a humble man who just simply wants to take care of his family. My friend and his family are still residing in tents as the cold and rainy season has hit the area. Yehya has also mentioned that tolls to collect fees have been built up, even in the areas that have been desolated. Simply moving around to provide for food and water is still becoming worse and worse. People in Gaza have been trying to find work to provide for their families, but those opportunities are found via connections and are rare.

<div>After a minor reprieve, if one can call it that at all, Israel resumed its war on Gaza. From what I believe, in many places in the Gaza Strip, the bombing had never even ceased. Yehya and his family had returned to the area of their home, but they have had to since return back to the tents, where they had spent so much of last year. Food and supplies are even more scarce as Israel closed the crossings and denied aid into Gaza yet again, at the beginning of the month. It has been nearly 3 weeks since any aid has entered Gaza.

<div>“Last Sunday at around 3 a.m. Andy woke up feeling a very intense pain that didn’t go away. So he writes that he “thought it was time to hit the emergency room and have them laugh me out the door for complaining about heartburn.”

<div>Andy continued in a post on social media: As part of the emergency room process when you mention "chest pains" the resident cardiologist stops by to take a listen and chat.
</div>
<div>He asked me, "Has anyone ever told you you have a heart murmur?" "Nope", I said. "Well, you do", he replied. They did an echocardiogram and a CT scan and discovered that my aortic valve was deformed and leaking (random birth defect that no one has ever caught before), AND that my aorta was dilated to 4.8 (doctors start to talk about fixing them at 5.0). So I also had an aneurysm.

<div>They immediately placed me in the ICU for observation and to schedule open heart surgery, which I had Friday morning around
