My name is Frankie Lyn, and I’m raising money for myself and my grandmother, Suzy. She has always been the person who takes care of everyone, and now we’re in a place where we truly need help.

We live on a fixed income, and because I’m disabled and waiting for disability approval, our situation has become overwhelming. On top of that, both my Nana and I are full-time caregivers for my grandfather. We love him, but the physical and emotional exhaustion catches up with us every single day. We try and try, but it never seems to be enough—especially when the bills keep piling up faster than we can keep up with them.

We’re overdue on our water bill, our stove recently broke, and we rely on SNAP just to get by. Even then, we often don’t have enough to last through the month. The fear of running out of food—or having our water or electricity turned off—hangs over us constantly.

My Nana is terrified to ask for help. She feels ashamed to be struggling like this and hates the idea of burdening anyone. She doesn’t deserve to feel this scared or embarrassed. She deserves peace, comfort, and stability—and I’m hoping this fundraiser can give her a little bit of that.
