 Frank is the sweetest, most cuddly cat on the planet. He will greet everyone at the door and wants nothing more than chin rubs. We believe he was dumped as a kitten, and after living on the streets for a couple of years, he decided he was going home with Grace and the rest is history. He’s been suffering from liver inflammation of unknown origin, and though he is on the mend he has spent a couple of days in the hospital and is still regularly having his blood tested to monitor his progress. Unfortunately, all of this adds up and Grace is just a girl who fully supports herself trying to make it in the world. Help her continue to help Frank

<div>Help Timothy Toler—Philadelphia’s Paula Deen-White—recover
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Some people simply enter a room. Timothy Toler lights it up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many Philadelphians know Timothy as Paula Deen-White: a glamorous, joyful, larger-than-life drag performer who has spent years entertaining our community and generously volunteering their time and talent to support local nonprofits, fundraisers, and causes. Others know Timothy as a dear friend, a devoted flight attendant, and someone who consistently shows up for the people around them.
</div>
<div>Now, Timothy needs our community to show up for them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Late at night on July 13, after spending nearly 12 days bedridden at home, Timothy woke up in intense and excruciating pain coming from nearly every joint in their body. They realized that they were unable to move or catch their breath and had to call 911 for first responders to be dispatched. They were admitted to the hospital that same night and are still being evaluated to determine the cause.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The pain and swelling have left Timothy unable to walk or properly use their hands.</strong> Their wrists are nearly immovable, and they are currently bedridden. At this time, neither Timothy nor their doctors can say how long their hospitalization and recovery will last.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Both of Timothy’s professions depend on their physical mobility. As a flight attendant, they must be able to walk, lift, travel, and assist passengers during emergencies. As Paula Deen-White, they bring their entire body, spirit, humor, and energy to the stage. Right now, Timothy is unable to fly, perform, or earn the income they need to support themselves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The uncertainty is frightening.</strong> Their regular bills have not stopped, and the expenses connected to hospitalization, treatment, transportation, food, medications, rehabilitation, and an extended period without income will continue to grow.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For years, Timothy has donated performances, volunteered their time, and used Paula’s platform to help organizations and individuals throughout Philadelphia. They have brought laughter to crowded rooms, glamour to countless stages, and generosity to causes that needed a champion. Behind the costumes, wigs, and sparkling jewelry is a deeply caring person who has always believed in giving back.
</div>
<div>It is now our turn to give some of that love back to them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Funds raised will help Timothy remain housed and financially stable while covering essential living expenses, medical costs, prescriptions, transportation, recovery needs, and the income they are losing while physically unable to work.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please consider donating whatever you comfortably can. No contribution is too small. Sharing this fundraiser is also an incredibly meaningful way to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Timothy has spent years helping Philadelphia celebrate, laugh, gather, and care for one another. Let us now surround them with that same spirit of community as they face this frightening illness and begin the long process of healing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We love you, Timothy. Philadelphia is standing with you.
</div>

Standing with Timothy: Philadelphia’s Paula Deen-White

<div>A few months ago, my dear friend JD Barnes unexpectedly lost the mother of his children. In an instant, everything changed for him and his beautiful six-year-old daughter, Shavve. While grieving an unimaginable loss, JD has stepped into the role of full-time father, doing everything he can to support his daughter while they both learn how to navigate a new reality without someone they loved so deeply.

</div>

<div>

</div>

<div> JD is an incredibly talented photographer, a devoted father, and one of the most responsible people I know. He is also a very private person, which is why I am creating this fundraiser on his behalf. Over the past several months, I’ve tried to support JD and Shavve however I could. I’ve made meals, taken Shavve trick-or-treating, spent time with her during the holidays, taken her hiking, and simply tried to be present during such a difficult time. But the truth is, this is bigger than anything one person can carry alone.

</div>

<div>

</div>

<div> Along with the emotional weight of this loss, JD is now facing financial hardship and the possibility of losing his home. The thought of Shavve losing her mother and then potentially losing the place where she feels safe absolutely breaks my heart. Our goal is to raise funds to help cover back rent, prevent eviction, and provide some stability as JD and Shavve find their footing and begin to rebuild their lives.

</div>

<div>

</div>

<div> I am asking our community to come together and help a good father who is doing everything he can. This isn’t about charity—it’s about giving a family a chance to heal without the constant fear of losing their home. If you can donate, thank you. If you can share this fundraiser, thank you. Every contribution, prayer, and act of kindness matters. Let’s remind JD and Shavve that they are not alone. With love and gratitude, Stacy Gray

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Blossoms came about as a response to the lack of representation of the LGBTQIA+ diaspora within the hospitality community and beyond. We are focused specifically on supporting our Trans brothers and sisters within Louisiana who are violently under attack. </div>
<div>This will be our second year at Tales of the Cocktail, and we hope to raise even more money for the Trans community with your financial support. <div>Blossoms is a fundraiser, plain and simple. We empower and uplift queer voices in hospitality through community. Our goal is to raise money while also creating a safe place for QTBIPOC people in our industry to network, unwind, and catch their breath during TOTC.

BLOSSOMS Vol. II Shaking and Stirring for Trans Equity

<div>Hi everyone, my name is Brian.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>A few weeks ago, I suffered a serious shoulder injury that has completely changed my life. The pain and limited movement have made it impossible for me to work, and I’m now facing mounting medical bills on top of my regular living expenses like rent and utilities.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but this setback has been overwhelming — physically, emotionally, and financially. Between doctor visits, physical therapy, and medication, the costs keep adding up. Without an income during recovery, I’m struggling to make ends meet and keep a roof over my head.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I’m asking for help to cover:

</div>

<div>	•	Medical expenses (treatment, therapy, and follow-up appointments)

</div>

<div>	•	Rent and basic living costs while I’m unable to work

</div>

<div>	•	Transportation to and from medical appointments

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Every little bit helps, whether it’s a donation, a share, or just a kind word of encouragement. Your support means the world to me and will help me focus on healing instead of worrying about losing my home.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any help you can give. ❤️

</div>

<div>Hi everyone, <strong>I’m reaching out during a really tough time and need your immediate support</strong>. I hope you can take just a few brief minutes to read this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Recently, I suffered <strong>my fifth concussion</strong> while still recovering from a previous one, which has <strong>made me unable to work and maintain a normal life</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the past 13 months, I’ve been on a relentless search for stable full-time employment, facing deep economic hardship along the way. <strong>This stress has taken a toll on me both physically and mentally</strong>, to the point where <strong>I reached out to a mental health crisis hotline for support</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On June 22nd, while spending time with friends at the beach to keep my spirits up, I accidentally tripped over a tent and hit my head on a cooler. The pain and confusion were immediate, but I didn’t want to dampen the mood of my friends. Sadly, <strong>over the next 24 hours, my symptoms worsened dramatically</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Since my first concussion in 2013</strong>, I’ve learned from doctors how susceptible I am to these injuries. <strong>Each traumatic brain injury compounds the last, and this latest one is the toughest yet</strong>, exacerbating my symptoms from an earlier concussion this year.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m trying to stay hopeful, but <strong>there’s a real fear of losing my home and struggling to make ends meet</strong>. I’m applying for Medicaid, but it’ll be another 4-6 weeks until they could approve me to see concussion specialists at Jefferson Health in Philadelphia. Even then, recovery will take time before I can work again, and <strong>I urgently need support to cover essential expenses during this difficult period.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in helping me and my emotional support cat, Willow</strong>, get through this challenging time. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this easy-to-remember link to this GoFundMe would be incredibly helpful: <strong>bit.ly/support-reys-recovery</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you all so much for your kindness and support. It truly means the world to me &lt;3

Support Rey for Recovery from Traumatic Brain Injuries

As fate would have it the universe has decided to revolt against my reproductive organs. In 2012 I had major surgery to remove a 4 lb cyst from my abdomen which I lovingly refer to as “Zombie Baby 2012!” .(Please see exhibits A and B for reference -- Content Warning: surgical image of mass with blood). In the process of this surgery they removed an ovary and my appendix because the mass looked cancerous. After the biopsy they found it was borderline, a medical term not unlike the elusive unicorn, in that I have no idea how it functions, but I know its not as noble and it’s definitely not as cute. The best I can surmise is “borderline” is a way of letting me know I'm not completely out of the cancer danger zone. Because of the way in which they had to extract this monster I have had complications with my abdominal wall which has resulted in multiple herniations, weakened muscle and the incurrence of medical debt. <br /><br />A few months ago I started feeling the same pangs of discomfort... abdominal bloating, fatigue, pelvic pain, all of the "not-cute" symptoms of another growth. After some tests the surgeons discovered another giant mass that will need to be removed- I will be calling this one “Post Apocalypse Zombie Baby 2019!” and I will be posting post op photos for your viewing pleasure.<br /><br />Because I have a penchant for self torture, I am getting it removed the day before Thanksgiving. Ironically, I am giving thanks for this holiday because I am the only one willing to not enjoy it, otherwise I would be waiting another month, fighting for surgery dates. The surgeons will remove the mass and potentially all remaining reproductive tissue. There will be no babies in my future, but I have been preparing myself for such a possibility for years. This round will be more complicated because they will have to cut through hernia mesh and deal with scar tissue that could prolong the surgery and recovery. Thankfully, I have a solid team of surgeons, one of which will be there just out of sheer curiosity. I will be out of work for two months and since my occupation and hobbies require me to be physically active, I will not be able to sustain a steady income, let alone a social life for a while; however, I've already got some promises from people to come sing to me and feed me, not because I won't be able to use a spoon, but because its way more fun this way. <br /><br />Anyone who knows me know that: a. I am terrible at communication (almost everyone found out about my previous surgery days after it occurred. I did, however, manage to tell my mom in time... ) and b. I'm bad at asking for help. It's not so much my pride as its the fact that I... well... I guess its my pride and also an innate stubbornness that keeps telling me, “I got this.” This experience has humbled me and helped me realize I am not an island. I have so many loved ones who would help if I only I learned how to ask. So I’m asking. I need your help. With my insurance deductibles, medications, and pre and post operative care I’m looking at at least $10,000 out of pocket. <br /><br />I appreciate anyone who made it to the end of this diatribe. Thanks for caring and thanks for keeping me on solid ground. <br /><br />Content warning: Human blood and surgical photos<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br />*<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />exhibit A <br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/43694372_1574822082443003_r.jpeg" alt="43694372_1574822082443003_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />exhibit B<br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/43694372_1574822105694655_r.jpeg" alt="43694372_1574822105694655_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />
