Blossoms is a mutual aid distribution effort to help, support, and uplift Trans Folks of New Orleans.
Blossoms came about as a response to the lack of representation of the LGBTQIA+ diaspora within the hospitality community and beyond. We are focused specifically on supporting our Trans brothers and sisters within Louisiana who are violently under attack. In these fundraising efforts we showcase LGBTQIA+ industry professionals with an emphasis on local QTBIPOC talent.
This will be our second year at Tales of the Cocktail, and we hope to raise even more money for the Trans community with your financial support. Blossoms works as a direct partner of Tales of the Cocktail, a yearly global expo that brings together industry professionals for education, awareness, and career development in New Orleans, LA.
This crowdfunding is essential to the success of Blossoms. It allows us to give every dollar that we make in New Orleans directly to our trans brothers and sisters.
Blossoms is a fundraiser, plain and simple. We empower and uplift queer voices in hospitality through community. Our goal is to raise money while also creating a safe place for QTBIPOC people in our industry to network, unwind, and catch their breath during TOTC.
We provide a platform to showcase LGBTQIA+ bartenders, and this year,
proceeds will go to the Trans Income Project .
We are also partnering with Crescent Care to provide local information about
PrEP, housing, gender affirming healthcare, and other resources for our
queer brothers and sisters at the event in July.
Last year Blossoms raised $2,300 forLoud Youth Theater, a Black, Trans, Queer youth theater that creates a safe space for black Trans youth to shape their own narratives through the art of storytelling.
.
This year Blossoms will be once again be at:
Where:Anna’s (second floor) 2601 Royal Street New Orleans, LA
When: Wednesday July 22nd, 2026
Time: 4pm-7pm
Thank you so much for your consideration. In this time of need, it is so important to reflect inward and explore community. Whether or not you participate in this fundraiser here, or at Tales, if you should find yourself in the Bywater, we encourage you to stop by. Let’s talk about trans rights!
With much love and gratitude
