<div>Help rescue Dawn! She has been used as a riding elephant and a logging elephant her whole life. At 52 years old, she needs a break from it all!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The good news is that we have a great place for Dawn to live out the rest of her days in peace. She will be supported by the Sappraiwan Elephant Foundation. She will have 360 acres to call home.

Help Rescue Dawn From a Life of Hell! Elephant Rescue!

<div>Please Help Keep the Sanctuary Afloat While We Build a Permanent Future
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For the past seven years, my farm has been a safe haven for animals with nowhere else to go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Through Erin Regan Animal Sanctuary &amp; Rescue, we've given hundreds of animals a second chance—from dogs pulled off euthanasia lists to seniors, major medical cases, abuse survivors, and animals that simply needed more time than a shelter could provide. Hundreds have gone on to loving forever homes. Others remain here in sanctuary care with nowhere else to go. Our entire country is in a severe animal overpopulation crisis and adoptions have been slow, especially for the harder-to-place animals (like large breed only-pet dogs), which is what we have often specialized in.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I volunteer full-time for the rescue and do not receive a salary. Rescue donations are used exclusively for the animals' veterinary care, food, medications, supplies, and daily needs. They cannot legally be used to pay my mortgage, vehicle, or other personal expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Those expenses are covered through my two small businesses, Run Motivators and Bee Bubble Couture. But as the rescue has faced many challenges since my husband moved away over 3 years ago, so have the demands on my time. Caring for the animals, farm, and home often leaves very little time to generate the income needed to keep the property afloat.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When I first created this fundraiser, my dream was to somehow raise enough money to purchase another farm before losing this one.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Today, I have a better plan.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In the coming weeks, Erin Regan Animal Sanctuary &amp; Rescue will launch the Roots of Compassion Legacy Campaign, allowing the organization itself to purchase and own a permanent home for the rescue.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Until then, I simply need time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser exists to help keep this property afloat while I continue finding homes for the animals, rebuilding my businesses, and working toward a future where the rescue—not me personally—owns its forever home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you'd rather support the animals directly, donations to Erin Regan Animal Sanctuary &amp; Rescue are always appreciated. If you'd like to help keep the sanctuary operating while we work toward its permanent future, this fundraiser is the best way to do that.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whether you donate, adopt, foster, volunteer, shop with Run Motivators or Bee Bubble Couture, or simply share our story, thank you. Every act of support gives these animals a chance at love, a family, and the happy lives they deserve.
</div>

Save the Farm & Give Animals a Second Chance

<div>Hey, my name is Nicole, and I live in Tucson, Arizona. I’m a trans woman, and I’m asking for help covering my past-due electric bill and one month of rent so I can get back on my feet and avoid becoming homeless. My electric bill is $935.70, my rent is $645.00, and my total goal is $1,580.70.
</div>
<div>Tucson Electric shut off my electricity in February, and living without power has been extremely difficult, especially while trying to work from home creating onlyfans content. Without electricity, it is hard to make new content to sell, which makes catching up financially even harder. The Tucson heat is intense, and without AC it is affecting my mental health and wellbeing.
</div>
<div>Even my medications are expensive, and I was struggling to afford them this week. I have reached out to the Salvation Army, Pima Community Action, and Interfaith Community Services. I have spent hours on hold trying to ask about assistance, only to be told they do not have any appointments available.
</div>
<div>If you know of resources or if the City of Tucson has other programs to help, please let me know. This has been so overwhelming, I feel defeated, and like I am never going to find help. I am feeling desperate.
</div>
<div>Any support, whether it is donating, sharing this GoFundMe, leaving comments on my posts about this fundraiser, or letting me know of local Tucson resources, would mean the world to me. Your help can get my electricity back on, cover rent, and allow me to keep working so I can get back on my feet and avoid becoming homeless. It is difficult for me to ask for help like this. I haven’t created a gofundme fundraiser before and it is honestly embarrassing that I fell behind on these bills and my electricity was shut off. But I really need help, so I am asking for it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading this and for any support you can offer.

<div>Urgent! Please help me keep baby Sunshine and her mom together. Sunshine is just three years old and has already been taught circus tricks. Her mother(37) has been used as a breeding elephant their whole life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We're in a race against the clock. We have just four days to come up with the funds, or they will be sold to another buyer.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The good news is we have an amazing place for these two. At Following Giants, they will have over 50 acres to roam with other rescued elephants. They will get to spend the rest of their life making friends, getting fat, and happy. These two will finally get to be a free elephants! Please help keep baby sunshine with her mother!

<div>If you know Erica and Joon you have probably been helped and cared for by them at one time or another. That is who they are. They are helpers who spread warmth and joy wherever they go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I met Erica one afternoon while attempting to walk my new rescue dog, a very nervous and high strung pup that had me hiding every time another dog walked by. We were struggling and Erica was so kind to me and my dog...asking if she could take the leash and providing the calm and expertise only a deeply caring human can possess. We have been friends ever since.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As long time animal rescuers Erica and Joon have taken in many homeless dogs over the years and have helped hundreds more through rescue and often on their own dime. They do this with love and without asking for anything in return.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During the Eaton fire, while Joon went to work in the community as a career firefighter, Erica drove around their neighborhood... embers flying....rounding up elderly neighbors and their pets and loading them in her SUV. She made sure the people, the cats, the dogs...her friends...all had a safe place to stay even as the blaze whipped flinchingly close to her own home and as her asthma flared in the thick smoke.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is with this spirit that I now ask for help on behalf of my dear friends. Erica and Joon's beloved dog Bella has cancer. Throughout her diagnoses and through the treatment she has had so far the vet bills have begun to pile up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They rescued her 6 years ago and she means so much to them. She has waffles with them every Sunday and goes with them on trips to the beach. Bella is their family. They love her and want to care for her the best they can for as long as they have with her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am asking for your help on their behalf so they can do this in the most meaningful way for themselves and Bella.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anything you can give to help would be so appreciated.
</div>

<div>Help rescue Thong Poon. This gorgeous girl has been in chains for 50 years, forced to give rides on her back every day. The zoo where she's at kicked me out, so I don't have any footage of her working. The good news is we have an amazing place for her. Boon Lott Elephant Sanctuary- Bles has over 500 acres where she can roam free with other rescues. Since she only has one tooth left, she needs her food softened. Only a rescue like Bles can pull that off, adding years to her life. So, we're excited to give her a new home. Where she can take mud baths on the daily and be the happy little elephant she deserves to be. 50 years is too long to live in chains. It's time to break them! - Aaron / Planting Peace

<div>My name is Evan Chambers and I created this GoFundMe for my neighbors, Joseph Garcia, Jose Garcia, and their extended family, who are all longtime residents and homeowners in Altadena. As a lot of Altadena residents, including my family, evacuated when the fire reached our homes, Joseph, his father Jose and Joseph’s brother-in-law Herman stayed back to fight it. They worked in extremely dangerous conditions for hours, hosing down houses and pulling neighbors out of burning buildings (sometimes wrapped in wetted-down sleeping bags). This was all done on their own with ZERO support from any first responders. Because of their efforts, Jose and Joseph were able to save many neighbors' houses and one of their family homes. They lost three of their family homes within a block of each other and 9 cars total, including their work trucks. Jose is close to my age and went to a local rival high school. Since then, he has worked hard building and maintaining a gardening route, had four (now grown) children, purchased his house (in 2000), and supported his community and family. Unfortunately most of his gardening route clients lost their homes too in the fire and so he is down to a skeleton route.
</div>
<div>Joseph is younger and a hardworking employee at Jiffy Lube in Pasadena.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After battling for four hours to save their house and block, a fire engine finally came into the neighborhood. Unfortunately, it only told them to leave the area before continuing on its way. Jose and Joseph chose to stay anyway to continue to protect their neighborhood alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Losing three out of four family homes is a devastating loss. As is losing work trucks and tools. When I asked Joseph what he was able to save, he showed me an urn of his uncle's ashes that he pulled out of his grandmother's house while it was burning.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This family is extremely proud and independent. They have asked for ZERO help from outsiders. They received ZERO help from first responders in saving their block.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I believe that the example of Jose and Joseph is the model of how we will need to fight fires in the future. Putting our neighbors before ourselves and supporting eachother to the end. I made this gofundme in order to reach a larger community who wants to support Altadena. Altadena will support you back when the time comes.

<div>My name is Anthony Douglas (33), father of Avery Douglas (7). My home, along with thousands of others in my town of Altadena, was burned to the ground in the Eaton Fire.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Update: 03/25/25</strong>
</div>
<div> We found an apartment! Although the rent is crazy high we are grateful to back in Pasadena after being displaced for so long.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> I want to start by saying, My daughter and I are extremely grateful to everyone for being so supportive and generous. Navigating the loss of our home and damage to our community has been more difficult than I can even wrap my mind around. But having the love and support from our fellow and neighboring community members has added a bit of sweet to a very bitter situation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>YOUR DONATIONS GO A LONG WAY</strong>
</div>
<div> Please be cautious when donating to large organizations claiming to collect money for fire victims.
</div>
<div> Sadly a lot of the organizations collecting money for fire relief aren’t actually dispensing the funds to the people affected. Instead, keeping most of the money for their organization and then offering us things like water and debris kits.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>OUR IMMEDIATE NEEDS:</strong>
</div>
<div> Reliable Transportation- I currently drive a 2004 GMC Pickup Truck. It’s been on its last legs for a while. But back home my commute was short and the truck was enough to get me by. Since the fire my commute has increased 10x, it no longer passes smog so no registration. Seems like it’s rattling loose from all the traffic and potholes. Needless to say it’s time to replace the ol’ beater.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>HOW HAS THE MONEY BEEN USED?</strong>
</div>
<div> Most all the money we had saved / collected went into getting the apartment and vehicle maintenance.
</div>
<div>________________________
</div>
<div>I set up this GoFundMe for 2 reasons. <strong>First, in order to help provide essential items during our displacement.</strong> Things like gas for my truck, keeping my cell phone on, replacing basic clothes, and some cooking equipment so I can begin to work and sustain myself. <strong>Second, I want to host a free Welcome Home Cookout once we get the all-clear to re-enter the town.</strong> I would love to see all the beautiful people in my city share a meal that really gives them a sense of home.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My current occupation is a street food vendor. I serve my community in the parking lot at Ace Smoke Shop Altadena, also burned to rubble, owned by my long-time friend Jacob Grair.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My daughter and I moved back to my childhood home in Altadena during the COVID pandemic, a time during which I lost my job, apartment, and savings, and was swallowed in credit card debt trying to survive.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And now, at a time when I've finally found my calling as a culinary artist, have established a trustworthy brand [The Yard L.A.], and am beginning to find the smallest sense of stability, my whole town has burned to the ground.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I thank God my family was able to evacuate safely, and we have been taken in by friends and family for a safe place to lay our heads. The support from the surrounding communities has been amazing and has brought a lot of comfort during this great loss.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our people remain in high spirits and have every intention to rebuild! Thank you for hearing our story

<div>Help George,Gloria and Their Family Rebuild After being displaced.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi, my name is Sasha a local resident of Altadena. Who came across George and Gloria's family and was so touched by their story that I wanted to help them. My Instagram is @sasha_darling, I’m writing to ask for your help for an incredible family who has dedicated their lives to serving others but now finds themselves in urgent need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>George is a true community hero. He has spent years working with at-risk youth, offering gang intervention, court advocacy, jail support, and life skills training for young people aged 14 to 25. He’s helped countless individuals break the cycle of violence and find hope and purpose. His wife, Gloria, is equally remarkable. A former school administrator in the San Fernando valley, she was the heart of her school—organizing, problem-solving, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Now a stay-at-home mom, she continues to pour her energy into raising their four children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their family story is one of love and resilience. George and Gloria adopted two children who were being neglected by their biological parents, giving them a safe and loving home. Later, they welcomed two biological children of their own, creating a warm, supportive household.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But tragedy struck when their affordable rental home in Altadena—where they had affordable rent—was damaged in the Eaton Canyon fire. FEMA has deemed the house unlivable, forcing the family to leave. With skyrocketing rents in the area, finding a new home near George’s work and the children's school feels almost impossible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>George is a helper, someone who never hesitates to give everything he has to his community. Asking for help is not easy for him, but this family of six urgently needs support. They need to stay in the area so George can continue his vital work with at-risk youth while maintaining stability for their children.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your donation will help them:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Secure safe and affordable housing close to George’s work
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Provide stability and resources for their children during this challenging time
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Allow George to continue his life-changing outreach and mentoring programs
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is our chance to give back to a family who has given so much to others. Your support—big or small—will make a meaningful difference in their lives.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your generosity and kindness. Let’s come together to help this amazing family rebuild and thrive.
</div>

Help George & Gloria Rebuild After Fire

<div>Hi Everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On January 8th, my uncle Norman and aunt Betty lost everything when the devastating Eaton Canyon Fires swept through Altadena and destroyed their home of 25 years. They were unable to save anything due to the speed at which the fire spread. Now, at the ages of 68 and 75, they are left with nothing but their beloved poodle, Willa, the memories they made with family and friends, and the overwhelming task of starting over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Norman, born and raised in Pasadena, spent years carefully refurbishing their home by hand, creating what had become the perfect place to enjoy their retirement. Betty, his wife and best friend, shared in those dreams, pouring her love into a beautiful garden that became a gathering place for friends and neighbors. Their house was more than a home—it was a reflection of their hard work and the life they built together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Throughout their lives, Norman and Betty have been deeply committed to helping others. They’ve supported the Pasadena Humane Society and the Special Olympics for years, giving their time and resources to causes close to their hearts. Now, they find themselves in a position they never imagined—needing help to rebuild.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, their insurance policy was previously cancelled, leaving them without financial support in this trying time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This GoFundMe is to support Norman and Betty as they begin to rebuild their lives. Donations will go toward immediate needs such as clothing, food, and other daily necessities, as well as help with long-term recovery efforts; specifically those not covered by FEMA.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser with your network would mean so much to us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Knowing they have a community behind them gives Norman and Betty hope as they navigate this new chapter.

Help Ms. Vicki Rebuild After Fire Loss

<div>Our family, who lived in their house in Altadena, California since the 1960s, has had their home completely burned down. On 1/8/25, the Eaton Canyon fires in LA wiped out the area, and their entire neighborhood is gone. <strong>They lost everything in their home and they're currently staying in a hotel.</strong> Our 87-year-old grandmother and aunt, who are handicapped and disabled, fortunately made it out safely, but their home and sanctuary that they built to accommodate their special needs is now rubble on the ground. <strong>Any donation helps us get them the necessities they need and will go towards their recovery during this dark time.</strong> Family and community are important now more than ever, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for anything you can give. We pray for you all and for those affected by this ongoing tragedy in Los Angeles. Thank you everyone. - Margarita

<div><br />

</div>

<div>On October 7, 2015, Reginald Wayne Bailey suffered an unimaginable loss—his father passed away, leaving an irreplaceable void in his life. Tragically, their heartache didn't stop there. Recently, the Eaton Fire devastated the community of Altadena, tearing through their family home and taking with it not only their physical belongings but also a lifetime of precious memories, including all their cherished family albums, keepsakes, and heirlooms.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Altadena's story begins with settlers tapping into water sources in the foothill canyons, and by the late 1800s, it became a thriving community focused on beauty, health, and culture. However, its growth wasn't without challenges. Segregation and restrictive covenants historically kept Black families and people of color out of many neighborhoods. But by the mid-20th century, the Civil Rights Movement opened doors for Black and Brown families to move into Altadena, bringing their culture and stories to the community. Over time, Altadena transformed into a vibrant and diverse area, marking a rich history of resilience and perseverance.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The Eaton Fire has left countless residents displaced and struggling to rebuild their lives. Many homes, passed down through generations, were lost. For Reginald and his mother, this fire not only destroyed their home but also erased their family's history and legacy—a loss that is deeply felt and hard to quantify. The fire also highlighted the inequities many Black and Brown families face when it comes to rebuilding, as systemic inequalities make access to resources even harder compared to wealthier areas.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Reginald and his mother and grandmother are now facing the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from the ashes. Losing a loved one is hard enough, but to have their family history and memories destroyed is a heartbreak beyond words. They need our help to recover and move forward.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The Bailey family includes:

</div>

<div> Reginald Wayne Bailey

</div>

<div> Denise Bailey (Mom)

</div>

<div> Jo Ana Bailey (Grandma)

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>We are raising funds to help Reginald and his mom cover the costs of:

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong> Basic Living Essentials – $15,000 (15%)</strong>

</div>

<div>This covers immediate necessities like temporary housing, groceries, clothing, hygiene products, and other essentials to support Reginald and his mother as they recover.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong> </strong>

</div><b>Restoring Their Foundation – $65,000 (65%</b>)
<br /> The bulk of the funds will go toward furnishing their home and investing in fire-resistant materials and safety measures. While insurance will cover some aspects of the structural rebuild, this portion will ensure they have quality furniture, appliances, and home essentials to create a safe and comfortable space. By prioritizing fire protection upgrades, we aim to provide lasting security and peace of mind for the future.

<div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong> Replacing Sentimental Items and Keepsakes – $10,000 (10%)</strong>

</div>

<div>This will help recover lost sentimental items, including photo albums, digital recreations of lost photos, heirlooms, and other meaningful keepsakes that are part of their family’s legacy.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong> Therapy and Grief Support Services – $10,000 (10%)</strong>

</div>

<div>A portion of the funds will go toward grief counseling and mental health resources to help Reginald and his mother cope with the emotional impact of losing their loved one, home, and personal history.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Every donation, big or small, will make a huge difference in helping this resilient family get back on their feet. The community of Altadena has a long history of resilience and strength—let's come together to provide hope, comfort, and support to Reginald and his mom during this difficult time.

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Altadena's story begins after California became a state, when settlers tapped into water sources in the foothill canyons. Benjamin Eaton developed irrigation systems for Don Benito Wilson and Dr. John Griffin, who purchased the 14,000-acre Rancho San Pasqual in 1858. His success in growing grapes and citrus beneath the foothills proved that it could thrive at higher altitudes.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In 1873, he and others helped settlers purchase 2,400 acres of Rancho San Pasqual, founding Pasadena as a refined community focused on beauty, health, and culture. This attracted Union veterans and Civil War survivors seeking healing in the West, but the ranchers and farmers to the north weren't fucking with the idea to incorporate their land when it became a city in 1886.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The residents, many of whom grew wine grapes, rejected Pasadena's prohibition-minded ideals because at the time, LA County was the state's largest wine producer, with Altadena contributing abundant harvests.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Altadena was opened as a subdivision in late 1887 by John and Fred Woodbury from Marshalltown, lowa. They envisioned a rural millionaire's suburb north of Pasadena, hoping to attract the wealthy class that began settling in the area., but their timing was off. The real estate bubble burst in 1888, leading to an economic panic that worsened into a national depression lasting through much of the 1890s.

</div>

<div><br />

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/85558677_1736552472732180_r.jpeg" width="100%" />

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Eventually, another white dude named Thaddeus Lowe decided to build a mountain railway, which connected Los Angeles to Pasadena, Altadena, and beyond, offering access to the many hotels and camps in the mountains where temperance was not a concern.

</div>

<div>From the 1890s to the 1920s, Altadena grew with ranchers, residents, and business magnates, mostly from Chicago and the Midwest, attracted by its climate and proximity to Pasadena. By the 1940s and 50s, 96% of the population was white. Economic growth after WWIl sparked a housing boom, filling the area with newly upwardly mobile families.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>By the 1950s, Altadena's population peaked at 46,000 during the Cold War era.

</div>

<div>But let's be real-it wasn't built for everyone. Segregation and restrictive covenants kept Black folks and other people of color out, locking the area into a pattern of exclusivity. Altadena was a reflection of the times: beautiful, but closed off to so many.

</div>

<div><br />

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/85558677_1736552480943862_r.jpeg" width="100%" />

<div>Then came change. By the mid-20th century, the Civil Rights Movement and the dismantling of discriminatory housing laws opened doors for Black and Brown families to move into Altadena, looking for a safe space to grow and thrive. As white residents began to leave during a period known as "white flight," many people of color seized the opportunity to settle in the area. Professionals, artists, and dreamers claimed their place, bringing their culture and stories to the community. By the '70s, Altadena had transformed into a vibrant mix of backgrounds and experiences, far from the exclusivity it once had.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>This migration was driven by a combination of factors: the shifting racial and social dynamics of the time, local policies that had previously kept people of color out, and the increasing need for space as the city of Los Angeles grew more crowded. As white residents moved to the suburbs or out of state, Black and Latino families found room to settle in Altadena-a place that had once been out of reach.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>A CALL FOR SUPPORT:</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>The Eaton Fire has devastated Altadena, displacing countless residents and leaving behind a trail of destruction. Many homes, passed down through generations, were lost, and with them, the sense of security that comes from having a paid-off home. For most people, this isn't just about property; it's about legacy, memories, and the freedom that comes with financial stability.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>But rebuilding isn't easy-especially without the proper support. For many in our community, the process is even more difficult due to systemic inequalities. Black and Brown families, who have long struggled for access to resources, are now facing even greater challenges compared to wealthier, predominantly white neighborhoods

</div>

<div>Tike Pacific Palisades.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>This is where we come in. It truly takes a village to rebuild after something as traumatic as this, and we can all help. I will be reposting every donation link I see from the homies and beyond in our IG stories. I also encourage everyone reading this who was displaced and might need financial assistance to share their fundraising links in the comments.

</div>

<div>Let's come together and support our neighbors, no matter where we are in the country. Every little bit helps.

Help Reggie, Denise & Jo Ana Bailey Recover from the fire!

<div>Many of my friends and family members have reached out to me and my family about the loss of our home and the desire to assist. We greatly appreciate the love and support as we put the pieces back together after losing your life's collection of stuff and things. Most are irreplaceable. The main thing is that we have our lives and health thanks to the grace of God. We need things to help us rebuild the basic necessities, mainly finding a place to live as soon as possible. I hate to say it but we are homeless until we find a place to live for now. We are not good at backing for help but the Lord says "My people don't have because they do not ask." We trust the Lord will provide and are grateful for whatever you would like to contribute. I trust in the Lord with all my heart, soul, and mind. To God be the glory. Selah!

</div>
<div>Hello everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Chagia Duke, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart after the unimaginable loss my family has suffered. I am a mom of three, with another little one on the way, and one of the many families devastated by the Eaton Canyon fire in Altadena.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The image you see doesn’t begin to capture the heartache I feel—not just for myself, but for my children, who keep asking, “What happened to our house?” I understand that material things can be replaced, but it’s incredibly hard to see everything you’ve worked so hard for vanish in just 12 hours.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m grateful my family and I were able to evacuate in time, but we left with only the clothes on our backs and a small bag for my kids. As we navigated through what felt like a war zone, there was no power, no sense of safety—just the urgent need to get out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At this time, I am humbly asking for your help. Whether big or small, any contribution will make a meaningful difference for me and my family as we try to continue our faith and hope to return to altadena.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know God has my back and will help guide me back for my family... the question is, where do I start?

<div>Hi, I’m Jewel Theus and I’ve been living in Altadena for 24 years. Around 2:30am, I had to wake my family up and have them evacuate our house with me. I didn't have time to pack anything because I was so worried about my family's safety. Unfortunately, <strong>we lost our house that has been in our family since 1975 to the Eaton Fire</strong>, so every bit helps as we try to restart our lives. My family is currently separated due to the Eaton Fire, so I hope to bring us back together.
</div>
<div><strong>Thank you in advance! &lt;3</strong>

Her support, generosity, and kindness have touched so many lives. Whether it was cheering on her favorite sports team, the Lakers and Sparks, or sharing her extensive sports memorabilia collection (that is now gone) Sandra's passion for life, her friends, family, and her community has always shone brightly.

Help Sarah After Fire Loss

<div>Hi, my name is Mary Ann Phillips, and I am starting this fundraiser for my friend Calvin Tucker to be able to buy a property in Alabama so he can take in more cats and dogs that are on the streets. From there, Calvin will be able to get good homes for them.
</div>
<div>As it stands now, Calvin is at capacity at his house and cannot take any more in.
</div>
<div>All money raised will go directly to Calvin. I am just getting the GoFundMe started for him because he is so busy saving animals and is in desperate need of more space. I’ve been a personal friend and supporter of his for over 5 years now and all donations will go to his non profit SOCAT which stands for Saving one Creature at a time. He’s the sole beneficiary and all donations will go directly to his account. The money will go towards land and a building that will house cats and dogs that he rescues and they will have air, heat and a fenced in area for the dogs to play and a catio for the cats to get air. He’ll also have a vet that will come on site to provide vet care when needed. It’ll also serve as a adoption center where people can come and adopt animals after he does a home visit with them and will be open to the public. Just Google Black Noah and he will pop up all over the web and you can see all the works he does to save and rescue all animals great and small. He gave the go ahead to me before I created this and he has access to the campaign.
</div>
<div>All of Calvin’s followers on Instagram and friends on Facebook know what an angel Calvin is and how he puts his heart and soul Into saving as many animals as he can and getting them off the street and into good homes.
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for supporting Calvin!

Our beloved garden - a free &amp; truly communal urban garden feeding free food to the people of Compton for over a decade - was for sale, without warning or consideration to the humans serving this nor the communities, ecosystems &amp; lives this would impact right here in Compton/North Long Beach.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even worse, we found out that there is currently an open offer on the land from an outside developer for $488,000 - we MUST raise enough to cover the sale of the land plus any taxes and expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have until TUESDAY to submit our counter offer and acquire the land that our community - and the native people before us - have so deeply nourished &amp; received nourishment from.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Community gardens mean nothing if we don’t own the land that we are cultivating our foods &amp; communities upon. We must own &amp; operate our communities from within - only through finding a path to community land ownership can we achieve true sovereignty within our neighborhoods in Compton, South Central, Watts and beyond.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are tired of outside developers dictating our own neighborhoods, businesses, food systems, and social structures.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is an opportunity to take back what is rightfully ours - and express to the world that WE will stand and fight as one until we find a sustainable solution for safe green spaces like CCG to exist, feed, and cultivate diverse communities.
</div>
<div><br />

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Here is our plan of action:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Tuesday, May 2nd: Compton City Council Meeting - let’s flood city hall and let ‘em know the significant social, cultural, ecological, educational &amp; community impact CCG has affected in Compton &amp; Northside Long Beach
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Saturday, May 6: Save Compton Community Garden Function! - join us at our garden for a day of food, community, live sounds, plant demonstrations, local biz &amp; resources, and much more. This is a fundraiser and community celebration - we are grateful for this space and community regardless what happens. Come celebrate Compton and show support for our cause.

<div>About Compton Community Garden:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Compton Community Garden is a communal effort to directly address social and ecological inequalities in Compton &amp; beyond. An entirely organic, regenerative, and community-run garden, CCG’s core mission is to feed healthy natural foods to the immediate community in Compton &amp; North Long Beach for free; to act as a resource for community empowerment &amp; ecological consciousness, encouraging a more shared, self-sustaining way of life in harmony with the natural world. Beyond a place to grow &amp; feed, Compton Community Garden is a hub for social &amp; cultural exchange - a safe space for exploring mental health, direct democracy, music, books, ideologies, and life experiences. Through cultivating community, CCG treats gardening as a social and spiritual practice, feeding our bodies, minds &amp; communities synergistically

Save Compton Community Garden!

<div>Dear friends, family, and neighbors,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We need your urgent help. Ariadne Rosas suffered a devastating aneurysm on March 29th, and we are asking for your support during this critical time. She is currently in the hospital and recovering from surgery to stop the bleeding, and we are hoping for a successful outcome.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, this terrible event has occurred at a terrible time. Ariadne, her partner Paul Allan, and her son Sonny were due to move this weekend to be closer to Paul's father, who recently suffered a stroke and is still in the hospital. Additionally, they were trying to resolve a situation with a contractor who took their money and did not do the majority of the work on their home renovation project that they paid him to do in LA.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a result of this crisis, both Paul and Ariadne are currently unable to work while dealing with the emotional and financial burdens of this situation and what is sure to be a long road of recovery for Ariadne.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Paul and Ariadne have always been there for their friends, family, and community. They are the first to offer their help and support, no matter how busy they are. They have designed and built out businesses for friends, done extensive work on friends' homes free of charge, and have always been there to support a friend in need in any way they possibly can.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now it's our turn to support them. We ask for your financial assistance to help alleviate some of their financial stress during this difficult time. Any amount will help and will be greatly appreciated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your support and generosity during this challenging time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>UPDATE 3/30/2023 5:45 PM PDT
</div>
<div>Saw Ari tonight. She was very tired, but was able to communicate and wiggle all of her fingers and toes. She still had some confusion around all that was happening, but overall felt like very positive direction.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>UPDATE 3/30/2023 12:45PM PDT
</div>
<div>It sounds like, Ari will likely remain in the hospital for a few weeks while they monitor and ensure they can remove any excess fluid buildup. She is still staying strong, but has a way to go in her recovery. Please keep her in your thoughts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>UPDATE 3/30/2023 11AM PDT
</div>
<div>I just spoke with Paul. Some good news, Ari is awake today and able to recognize everyone around her and able to stand for a minute, but is still a bit fuzzy (to be expected) on other details.

</div>

<div>Hi, I am Kelly Tully, Pat Hull’s wife.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Pat and I need your help. Thursday night (6/17) Pat was in severe pain and went to the ER in Chico, where we live. He was unfortunately discharged with a gross medical misdiagnosis of severe dehydration. In reality, Pat’s brain was bleeding, specifically a subarachnoid hemorrhage, which is often fatal and permanently damaging in the first 24 hours. Thankfully, thankfully he woke up the following morning and went back to the ER.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>This time, Pat was emergency airlifted to UCSF medical center, where he currently remains in the ICU. His bleeding has stopped. We don’t have many answers as to how or why. We know it wasn’t caused by an aneurysm nor trauma. Currently, the biggest concerns are vasospasms and rebleeds, which can cause strokes.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>I’m terrified for my best friend, my sweet love. I am very thankful he is in one of the best places for neurological injuries. Pat is in a lot of pain, but he is coherent, and I’ve been told by many medical staff that Pat looks really good for this sort of injury, and they are optimistic about his outcome. He is taking it day by day and focused on healing.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>I am not sure how long we will be here. I am being told two weeks as long as there are no complications. I am trying to remain in San Francisco to be with Pat everyday.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Aside from this being terrifying, I am 37 weeks pregnant with our second child. We also have a 1-year-old son named Oli, and Pat’s 7-year-old son Noah at home. Pat’s work as a teacher at Butte College and as a musician supports our family.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>I’m a strong mama, but I am not okay right now. I want desperately to be home with Pat by the time this new family addition comes, and that possibly is not going to happen.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Pat and I need a lot of help in the coming months. Any help or financial support would be greatly appreciated to ease some of the stress of this time. Any funds we collect will be going towards housing family supporting Pat in SF and his medical bills.

Hully family medical emergency

<div>Lux is the 7 year old son of our amazing friends Amanda &amp; Ethan. A few days ago, Lux suddenly started experiencing seizures and was taken to the hospital where we work as residents. Lux’s seizures continued during his time in the hospital. He was then placed in a medically induced coma for his protection. Despite several tests, so far no definitive diagnosis has been made. Lux has been transferred to a pediatric ICU far from their home and his family is staying in hotels to be near him. The burden of living away from home, medical bills and providing for a family all on a resident salary is enormous, and we want to try and help the family as much as possible so they can focus on being together with Lux and supporting his progress. Please send them love and, if possible, join in, in helping this amazing family.

<p>When dogs and cats cannot be adopted they are usually put down by lethal injection. This fundraiser is supplying six Los Angeles shelters with equipment they need to socialize and train shelter animals so they can be adopted with confidence. Your donation will buy training toys and treats, restraining leashes and no-bite muzzles, all used to get these animals ready for adoption and a chance to live.  Thanks to our donors, North Central Center shelter has already received its supplies.  We have five shelters left to go.  PLEASE HELP!

<div><em>*Fundraising on behalf of Shana Sarin and her best friend Angus*</em>
</div>

<div>In Mid-September 2021, sweetest, kindest, funniest, best feline soulmate to Shana and Cecil (Angus's brother) was viscously attacked by a large dog. It was a scary situation that has resulted in physical/emotional trauma, several surgeries and an overall upheaval in Angus's life, along with the Sarin household overall.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>As most of us know Shana is a self-employed creative with a thriving vintage business. Most of her business depends on her actively being present at various markets, pop-ups, etc. In tandem with the inability to be present in her day-to-day hustle/income growth to provide almost round the clock care to Angus, Shana has taken on all the medical bills/debt for Angus while she waits for the insurance claims and legal matters to begin.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>While I may not know you directly we all share the same love for the spirit that is Shana and admire her heart and care in everything she is doing to keep Angus alive and happy. The notion that Angus was mere moments away from his skull being entirely crushed to death is too much, Shana is constantly on watch to ensure a speedy and stable recovery along with seeking the sound advice of veterinarian experts and caregivers. As one can imagine this can be costly.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div><strong>I ask you, please consider extending some relief during this time that I know none of us ever want to realize. From the deepest, sincerest part of my entire being, I thank you.</strong>

Help Angus Heal!

<p>Tara and her Daughter Kaya are the operators of this woman owned livestock ranch located in Greenville California. They have been severely impacted by the Dixie Fires. Because of the mandatory evacuations Tara in one day, had to evacuate 12 horses , 7 dogs ( 4 Karakachan livestock dogs) , 2 house kitties , 4 exotic lizards &amp; a parrot in one day . Sadly a herd of goats , a flock of chickens and some barn cats had to stay on the the property as she could not find adequate evacuation space for them all. Thankfully they are all safe for now.
</p>

<p>
</p>

<p>Tara &amp; Kaya are living in a motel room with their pack of animals in Susanville . The horses are at the community college in Susanville . Tara has to drives back and forth to her property to take care of all the other animals daily. When she is back on the farm she collects all the chicken eggs and delivers them to a woman who makes food for the fire-fighters in Greenville. She also is taking care of many of the other horses and livestock evacuees at the Community College for other people whom have also had to evacuate. At this point it looks like they will not be able to return to their home for at least two weeks. The expense of the motel living, feed &amp; fuel is becoming overwhelming for this small team of two.
</p>

<p>
</p>

<p>We are asking the horse and farm community and anyone else that cares to, to help with relief for their immediate needs: gas, lodging and feed for all the animals. It's such a hard time for so many so we thank you in advance for any support you can offer Tara, Kaya and all the animals in need.

Dixie Fire Support For Lightning T Ranch

The Woolsey fire completely destroyed the homes of at least 54 ranch workers and their family members living in the Malibu mountains. We want to raise enough funds to keep them fed and housed for the next couple of days. We would like to raise approximately $500 per person as soon as possible. Anything we raise above that goal will be distributed to the families to help re-establish themselves after the fire has been extinguished.

Medical School applications are open on June first! Thanks to the Berkeley Extension Post Bacc program, all my credit cards are maxed out. Help a gal out with a donation to my application/interview fund, and help me reach my goal of matriculating into med school in the fall of 2015 &lt;3
