<div>
 On February 27, 2026, my life changed overnight in a way I never could have imagined.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Many of you know that I traveled to Cali Colombia to get dental work done. What was supposed to be an exciting trip turned into one of the most difficult experiences of my life. When I returned to the United States, I was unexpectedly arrested at the airport on serious criminal charges. I was completely shocked and confused by what was happening.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I spent several days in the Miami-Dade jail before being released. I returned home hoping to get my life back on track, but because of the pending charges, I was suspended from both of my jobs while everything was being sorted out. Just a few days later, I was taken back into custody after officers came to my home late at night. After posting bond, I was released again, but by that point, the financial damage had already been done.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Being out of work for that period of time caused me to fall behind on my rent, utilities, and other monthly bills. Although I’m grateful to say that I’m back at work now, returning to work hasn’t erased the debt that accumulated while I had no income. I’m doing everything I can to catch up, but it’s been extremely difficult trying to pay current bills while also covering the ones I fell behind on.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 I’ve always been the type of person to figure things out on my own, so asking for help is not easy. But sometimes life throws unexpected obstacles our way, and this is one of those moments where I truly need a helping hand.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Any donation, no matter the amount, will go toward helping me catch up.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 If you’re unable to donate, I completely understand. Sharing my GoFundMe with others would mean just as much and would help me reach more people.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your prayers, encouragement, donations, and shares mean more to me than words can express. I’m grateful for every act of kindness as I continue working hard to rebuild and move forward. God bless you all.

Helping Laquanda Rebuild After Unexpected Hardship

<div>We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Markalia McKinnin, better known as “Pocket,” on April 9 at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro. She is the beloved daughter of Tremenda Best. During this incredibly difficult time, we ask for your prayers to uplift and strengthen her family as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Pocket was truly a beautiful soul whose presence lit up every room she entered. Her smile was warm and unforgettable, and her laughter was full of life—bringing comfort and joy to everyone she met. She had a special way of making people feel seen, loved, and appreciated. Her kind spirit and the happiness she spread will never be forgotten, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are also asking for any financial support to assist the family with funeral expenses. Any contribution, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this time.

Markalia & Family

<div>Jaleeyah Tune was a bright and loving 13-year-old whose life was tragically cut short by gun violence just days before Christmas 2025. Born weighing only 2 pounds on August 26, 2012, Jaleeyah was a fighter from the very beginning. She came home from the hospital on Christmas Eve, a true miracle for her family, and continued to show incredible strength and resilience throughout her life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Jaleeyah was known for her infectious laughter and her ability to bring joy to everyone around her, no matter what challenges she faced. She had a special gift for making anyone smile, and her spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Losing her so suddenly has left her family and community heartbroken, especially during a time that should be filled with love and togetherness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any support to help the family will be appreciated. Thank you for keeping Jaleeyah and her loved ones in your thoughts and for any help you can provide.
