On February 27, 2026, my life changed overnight in a way I never could have imagined.

Many of you know that I traveled to Cali Colombia to get dental work done. What was supposed to be an exciting trip turned into one of the most difficult experiences of my life. When I returned to the United States, I was unexpectedly arrested at the airport on serious criminal charges. I was completely shocked and confused by what was happening.

I spent several days in the Miami-Dade jail before being released. I returned home hoping to get my life back on track, but because of the pending charges, I was suspended from both of my jobs while everything was being sorted out. Just a few days later, I was taken back into custody after officers came to my home late at night. After posting bond, I was released again, but by that point, the financial damage had already been done.

Being out of work for that period of time caused me to fall behind on my rent, utilities, and other monthly bills. Although I’m grateful to say that I’m back at work now, returning to work hasn’t erased the debt that accumulated while I had no income. I’m doing everything I can to catch up, but it’s been extremely difficult trying to pay current bills while also covering the ones I fell behind on.

I’ve always been the type of person to figure things out on my own, so asking for help is not easy. But sometimes life throws unexpected obstacles our way, and this is one of those moments where I truly need a helping hand.
