<div>Theo is my 6-year-old cat, and I adopted him in May 2020. Since day 1, we have been incredibly close, and he has been such an important part of my life. He brings so much joy to me, my family, and my friends, and anyone who knows me IRL, knows just how much Theo means to me. Right now, Theo is going through something very scary. He has had a couple of UTIs, and the current one has now turned into a dangerous urinary blockage, which is extremely serious for male cats.

<div> I am asking for help to cover Theo’s ongoing vet bills. His care this week has already reached beyond $2,300, and if PU surgery is needed next week, the total could go past $10,000. To make this even harder, I was recently laid off this month, and the financial strain has become overwhelming very quickly. Any support would mean so much to us as I focus on getting Theo the care he needs. I am so grateful for any help, and I truly thank everyone for supporting Theo and keeping him in your thoughts.

<div>Stephen’s Fight Continues: Radiation, Chemotherapy &amp; the Road Ahead

<div>First, we want to thank every single person who has donated, shared, prayed, reached out, or simply kept Stephen in their thoughts. The love and support you have shown our family through this has meant more than I could ever put into words.

<div>Stephen has now undergone his second brain surgery for his Grade 2 astrocytoma. We are incredibly grateful that he made it through surgery and is recovering, but unfortunately, this journey is far from over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His doctors at City of Hope have recommended that the next phase of treatment begin with six weeks of radiation, five days a week, followed by approximately 12 months of chemotherapy. The goal is to treat the tumor as aggressively as possible now and reduce the risk of it progressing or returning as a higher-grade tumor.
</div>

</div>
<div>At the same time, we are currently appealing an insurance denial for this treatment, adding another layer of uncertainty and stress at a time when our only focus should be getting Stephen the care he needs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because his treatment is at City of Hope in California, there are also significant expenses associated with extended lodging, transportation, meals, medical costs, and being away from home while he receives daily radiation. As his mom, I will be there with him throughout this next chapter.
</div>

<div>We originally created this fundraiser to help Stephen through his second brain surgery. We never imagined that we would now be facing weeks of radiation followed by a year of chemotherapy. So I am updating this fundraiser because Stephen still needs us.
</div>

Stephen Rezza Continued Treatment

<div>This September, I’ll be traveling to Children of Faith (COF), a children’s home in India that is home to 120 children ages 5–18.
</div>

<div>COF provides a stable home, education, and a supportive family environment where the children can flourish. I’ve been involved with the organization for over 12 years and currently serve on the Board of Directors.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>These children have experienced loss and instability early in life. Thanks to COF, they are thriving in many ways, and I'm excited to complement the care they already receive by adding some opportunities to explore emotions, mental health, and healthy coping skills.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During the 10-day visit, I'll be teaching fun lessons designed to help the children better understand their feelings, build emotional awareness, and develop simple tools for handling life's challenges. Through games, art activities, discussions, and reflection exercises, we'll explore topics like naming emotions, expressing feelings in healthy ways, and building resilience.
</div>

<div>My hope is that each child leaves with a greater understanding of themselves, language for what they're feeling, and practical tools they can use in everyday life.
</div>

<div>Last summer we went for a walk with our good friends Kate and Liam. Liam complained about a tingling in his leg and told us about how he kept falling over. Naturally we laughed at him, like true friends would. Liam's symptoms started worsening, and he was referred for tests on the NHS. Ten months later, in March of this year, he was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease at age 34.

<div>Liam is truly one of the most charismatic, vibrant and funny people you could ever hope to meet - the diagnosis is devastating for everyone that knows and loves him.

<div>Liam and Kate are continuing to live life as fully as possible - getting out, travelling, working - but life is full of ever increasing challenges and Liam is now dependent on a wheelchair. Our intention is to raise a sum of money to help them in whatever small way we can. Whether that be for domestic help, quality time together or anything else of value to them.
