UPDATE ON DIAGNOSIS & HEALING PLAN

Our son, Stephen, is preparing for one of the biggest battles of his life.

What began as an already difficult diagnosis has become even more complex. Additional tumors have been discovered, making his upcoming brain surgery at City of Hope with Dr. Behnam Badie more extensive than we had originally hoped. While we remain optimistic and grateful that he is in the hands of an incredible surgical team, we also know that this is only the beginning of a very long journey.

Stephen is expected to face a recovery of approximately six months. During that time, he will require ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, follow-up appointments, medications, and specialized support as he works to regain his strength and independence. Recovery from brain surgery is not measured in days or weeks, it is a long process that demands patience, expert care, and constant support.

While insurance will help with portions of his treatment, it does not cover everything. Many of the essential costs associated with his recovery, specialized care, travel for treatment, rehabilitation, and other medical needs will fall outside of what insurance provides.

Every donation will go toward helping Stephen receive the care he needs throughout his recovery, allowing him to focus on healing instead of the financial burden that so often accompanies serious illness.
