<div>
 Hi, my name is Aldis, I am the founder of Nourish the Soul Panaderia. We are a seasonal bakery currently popping up at farmers markets around the LA area, as well as in retail and coffee shops.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 About a year ago, we took the leap from being a cottage bakery to operating out of a commercial kitchen space. It was a big step for us and meant taking a financial risk on the business including taking on loans to get our operation up and running.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Our production relies heavily on a freezer, this summer, after needing multiple repairs, our freezer finally went out of commission. Along with the cost of those repairs, we also lost a lot of product.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 We are a very small bakery, margins have been tight this year as we continue investing in the business. In order to keep things running properly, we urgently need a working freezer. Unfortunately, I don't have a big budget to purchase a new freezer, nor do I have the financial bandwidth to take on another loan.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Since losing the freezer, a handful of wonderful customers, and acquaintances have generously sent donations to help us get back on our feet. After much consideration, I decided to open this fundraiser and ask our community for a little more help.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Anything you are able to contribute will help us reach our goal and keep Nourish the Soul Panaderia moving forward. Thank you wholeheartedly for your generosity, support, and for believing in this little bakery. It truly means so much to me.
</div>

Support Our Bakery: Urgent Freezer Replacement Needed

<div>Hello, my name is Nicholas Da Bella, Sofia's brother. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my family. On May 9th, <strong>my sister Sofia passed away at the age of 16 years old</strong>. She fought so hard to be here; after two long, difficult years, we had to say goodbye to her. Despite everything she had gone through, she always had a smile on her face and knew how to make everyone around her laugh. Her strength and love are what is keeping us going. Sofia had her whole family with her when she left this world. She was a daughter, sister, cousin, niece, and friend.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>This GoFundMe was created to help us give her the goodbye she deserves. Our family appreciates anything given, no matter how little. <strong>If Sofia or anyone in our family ever made you feel loved, supported, or cared for, please know that so much of that came from the love Sofia gave to all of us.</strong>

<div><strong><em>Update 12/1/24</em></strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Jericho on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 7:04 PM.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jericho was a fighter, a dreamer, and a source of light and love to all who knew him. Despite the challenges he faced—growing up in foster care, overcoming homelessness, and battling an aggressive cancer—he lived with resilience, courage, and an unwavering determination to never give up.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This loss has been deeply felt by all of us, which is why it has taken time to share this news as we mourn and reflect on his incredible life. Jericho touched so many hearts and inspired everyone around him with his strength and kindness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are comforted knowing that he is finally at peace, but our hearts ache knowing the world has lost such a remarkable soul. Plans are being made for two Celebrations of Life to honor Jericho’s memory—one in Seattle, Washington, where he built a life and community, and another in Los Angeles, California, where his family and childhood friends will gather to remember him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jericho’s legacy of perseverance and love will live on through all of us who were blessed to know him. Please hold our family in your hearts during this difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for your love, support, and understanding as we continue to process this loss.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Rest in peace, Jericho. You will forever be loved, missed and remembered.

<div><strong><em>Help Honor Jericho’s Life: Medical and Celebration of Life Expenses</em></strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is with heavy hearts that we share an update about Jericho’s journey. While his strength and determination have been inspiring, Jericho’s fight against aggressive high-grade glioma has reached a point where treatment is no longer improving his condition. He is now focusing on comfort and peace in his remaining time, surrounded by loved ones.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jericho has always been a fighter—through his childhood in foster care, bouts of homelessness, and his battle with cancer, he never gave up. His legacy is one of resilience, perseverance, and love. As we navigate this difficult time, we want to celebrate the incredible person he is and ensure that his life is honored in the way he deserves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Jericho’s Story of Resilience</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jericho grew up in foster care, separated from his mother due to her struggles with addiction and instability. Despite the challenges, he dreamed of one day returning to buy the home where he and his siblings grew up—a symbol of his strength and commitment to creating stability. He never gave up, even after aging out of the foster system at 18 with nowhere to go.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With determination, Jericho joined Job Corps, where he proudly earned his GED. From there, he went on to earn his ServSafe food protection certification and began training in culinary arts, taking meaningful steps toward a brighter future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The years that followed were not easy. Living in Los Angeles, Jericho faced bouts of homelessness but found hope in a tiny home community in Washington State. He began taking on responsibilities, eventually finding a temporary job and, later, a stable home with housing assistance. Finally, Jericho was able to breathe a little easier, continuing to work hard, rebuild his life, and pursue his dreams.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>The Diagnosis</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In September 2024, life took another unexpected turn. On his way to work, Jericho collapsed, injuring himself in a crosswalk. Shortly after, doctors delivered devastating news: he had seven tumors in his brain and just five weeks to live. The diagnosis was a high-grade glioma, aggressive and life-threatening.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jericho’s battle was grueling. After his first round of treatment, he fell into a coma due to brain swelling. When he regained consciousness, he faced paralysis on the right side of his body. Despite these hardships, Jericho fought back with the same determination that carried him through life, working every day to regain his mobility and speech.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>How You Can Help</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are raising funds to cover Jericho’s mounting medical bills, as well as to plan two Celebrations of Life to honor him after he passes. These gatherings will be held in:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Seattle, Washington—Jericho’s home for over seven years, where he built his life and community.
</div>
<div>Los Angeles, California—where Jericho’s family and childhood friends will gather to celebrate his memory.
</div>
<div>Your contributions will help us ensure that Jericho’s story is shared, his life is honored, and his loved ones can come together to remember the incredible person he was.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Supporters</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To the 21 amazing donors who have already helped us raise $1,040.00—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your generosity and belief in Jericho’s strength have given him and our family much-needed hope in this challenging time. We’re incredibly grateful for your support as we continue toward our $25,000 goal. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to ensuring that Jericho can continue his fight and pursue the dreams he’s held onto for so long.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Jericho’s Legacy</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Though this is an incredibly difficult time, Jericho’s strength, kindness, and determination will always be remembered. Your support allows us to focus on his comfort now while ensuring his life is celebrated in a way that reflects the remarkable person he is.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please consider donating or sharing Jericho’s story to help us give him the loving tribute he deserves.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for standing with us.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello, I am posting this on behalf of <strong>Jericho Nicholas De la Torre and his family</strong>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>First off, thank you to all of Jericho's friends, co-workers, and family for being so powerful and full of love and grace during a very difficult time in Jericho's life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jericho has lived a very different life than most, usually ending up with some pretty heavy cards to deal with. You would never know it by the positivity and cheerful demeanor he greets you and the world with.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Beginning of September, after a very bad fall where he lost consciousness, Jericho went to Swedish Hospital Cherry Hill. There, he was diagnosed with several high-grade glioma brain tumors. He was then transferred to Swedish Issaquah Cancer Center on September 22, where he underwent radiation to possibly shrink his tumors. On October 6th, he had a seizure that has impacted his speech as well as his mobility. After a week of recovery and being able to eat and drink on his own, he has been transferred to long-term care at Washington Care Center in Seattle.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This all happened within the matter of one month, and Jericho is still every day trying to fight and spend time with friends and family that visit and call.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jericho has been a wonderful friend to me he is my chosen family. My hope is that you share and donate to his medical expenses. <strong>No amount is too small. Thank you in advance on behalf of Jericho and his family.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Jericho needs our help. Sending love and light to you and yours.

Help Honor Jericho’s Life and medical expenses

<div>Harriett DeVine has a heart of gold. There was nothing she wouldn't do or give to her friends and family. Family meant EVERYTHING to her. Her front door was never locked and everyone knew they had a place to stay if they ever needed one. Harriett had 3 sons, Anthony (Tony), Tanu and Ty. She adored her boys. Harriett retired from bartending after 40 years at different establishments in Lomita but the one near and dear to her heart was The Firehouse. If anyone would start to get out of control, she would tell them that if they didn't settle down, she wouldn't be calling the police, she would be calling her sons! She loved crawfishing with her children. She had a secret weapon to get those crawdads to appear! Harriett LOVED Halloween and Christmas. Every Halloween it was chili dogs and Halloween Town. Every Christmas she would deck out the house from giant nutcrackers to fake snow and it was a must to have 4-6 Christmas trees!!! Harriett LOVED black and white movies, Gone with the Wind was one of her all time favorites! She loved music, he favorite singer was Barry White. Harriett enjoyed a fun trip with her family to Knott's Berry Farm! Boysenberry season was her favorite!!! I Love Lucy was another favorite of hers....she enjoyed laughing! Crafts she really enjoyed. She would sew Halloween costumes and when her sons were young, she would make their clothes. Harriett absolutely loved family gatherings! Listening to her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren tell her stories of what was going on in their lives would bring her such joy!

<div>Diego Cruz, the world’s best, nicest, and sweetest barista and friend is facing some serious health challenges. He is currently in the ICU at Hollywood Presbyterian recovering from pneumonia. We know Diego will pull through and can’t wait to see him smiling again. Diego is well known in the industry. If you frequent Friends &amp; Family or Square One, chances are he has made you a perfect cup of coffee. So many of his customers have been asking how he is and what they can do to help. We have started this fundraising campaign to help Diego land on his feet when he is finally able to go back home. No donation is too small. Thanks in advance!

Diego needs our help!

It is with great sadness for us to say my dad, Chef “Lupe” Yening Liang, has passed away. He always did his best to provide for his wife, daughters, family, friends, &amp; community. We miss him so much but hope he’s at peace &amp; having tea with his late parents and brothers. We have lost a legend but hope to keep his legacy alive through his food &amp; Hop Woo.
<font color="#333333"><br /><br /></font>We’ve started a GoFundMe to help with his arrangements. Anything would be appreciated. Even if it’s just having a meal at Hop Woo. Thank you.

<p>Hi, I'm Lauren Torres and this fundraiser is for our family, The Sietes.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>On Saturday August 21, our beloved Anthony George Raymond Siete finished his race here on earth. Our hearts are broken and at a loss for words. Anthony is an irreplaceable pillar within our family and within his community. He was <em>the </em>family man and invested his time into so many young people and their families. He is survived by his wife Leslie and their 3 children - Aden (13) , Laila (10) and Lily (9).
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>Our family has been moved by so many who have reached out asking how to help or have already given gifts to show support for Leslie, Aden, Laila and Lily.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>All funds collected in their name will be used at Leslie's discretion for immediate and future needs as she navigates her family through this difficult time.
</p>
<p><br />
</p>
<p>Thank you for investing back into the Siete Family with every prayer, gift and kind sentiment...they mean more than you know. God bless you.

Siete Family Support

<p>On Friday, October 30, 2020 - our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend suddenly passed away at home in Vail,Arizona.<br /><br />Born in California, Joe was the youngest of three siblings - he had only turned 30 years old this last summer.
</p>

<p>Joe was the hardest working guy. Joe was devoted to caring for his parents and was proud of his big sisters and their husbands. He was humble, giving, funny, daring, and that smile could sure warm your heart. He loved a good meal and made sure no one went without. He loved his dog Shaggy with everything he had - unfortunately Shaggy passed this year as well - adding to his heartache.
</p>

<p>Joseph battled depression, anxiety and alcoholism. Joe had been trying desperately this year to over come his daily demons. He sought comfort and guidance - but his damn pride also fought those who tried helping him. Crisis was called, he was taken to detox a few times. He kept telling us he’d get better, that he could do it, we believed in him and continued to support him in whatever manner he allowed. It simply wasn’t enough.
</p>

<p>Jojo, as he was affectionately known as, has left a huge gapping emptiness that will never be filled . Our family is devastated and in ruins.
</p>

<p>Our pride aside, due to the  suddenness of his passing, our family is found in a financial predicament of handling what needs to be done during a pandemic that has left us all with a little less these days.
</p>

<p>So, if all you can spare is a phone call or text message - we sure could use the love. If you can spare anything else, that too will be appreciated and never forgotten. All donations will be used to care for Joseph and what we can only hope would of been what he wanted.
</p>

<p>With great sadness, The Statzer Family,  We thank you and will forever remember your kindness.<br /><br />Please remember to say I love you to your loved ones.
</p>

<p>Remember time is limited and unknowing.
</p>

<p>Never, ever, give up on those you love.
</p>

As a young child, he quickly learned how to use a computer and from there one could often find him making incredible rides on Roller Coaster Tycoon or refreshing the Luxor Las Vegas website to hear the trumpet fanfare that played as the site loaded. He enjoyed weekly trips to Disneyland with his parents and siblings, where he fell in love with the Haunted Mansion and a limited time version of California Screamin’ which featured music from Red Hot Chili Peppers. He quickly grew obsessed with the band and at a young age was already singing along with their music, which showed his impressive ability to switch between quick paced rap sequences and heartfelt singing verses.<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50025840_1596042920118883_r.jpeg" alt="50025840_1596042920118883_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />Going into middle school he quickly picked up skateboarding, a hobby encouraged by his grandfather who would often take him to Vans Skatepark and watch him perform tricks on the half pipe for hours. Brandon and his grandfather also spent many hours together building model rockets that they would take to the Santa Fe Dam to watch them launch into the sky, sometimes seeing the rockets go as far as 600 ft into the air and safely back to the ground with a successfully deployed built-in parachute.<br /><br /><br />In high school, his love for music manifested in energetic and captivating performances with the Brea Olinda High School Choir. Brandon’s personality was reflected in his participation in the humorous all boys group, “The Thundercats,” and in a production of Young Frankenstein as Ziggy, the village idiot. His high energy also translated to impressive movement on the airsoft field. His grandfather would often take him to TAC City, where he would show quick reflexes and an ability to lead his squad to victory.<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50025840_1596043138607499_r.jpeg" alt="50025840_1596043138607499_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />As he matured into a young adult, his love for rockets became a love for old fighter planes and sporty racing planes. He often volunteered at the Planes of Fame in Chino, after which he would excitedly come home and talk to his grandpa about the historical planes he would help clean, maintain, and help to restore. To fit his future pilot aesthetic, Brandon loved his Alpha Industries parka which was one piece in his fashionable ensemble. Brands like Supreme, Rip and Dip, Pink Dolphin, and Comme des Garcons graced his collection and he was never without a well-coordinated and unique outfit. <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50025840_1596043306112340_r.jpeg" alt="50025840_1596043306112340_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />Being the generous soul that he was, he hoped to one day be able to work a job that would help support himself and his family. He often talked about marrying his girlfriend and starting a family with her. He dreamed of owning a remote property where he would buy and restore planes, like a P-51 plane to fly his grandfather in. We all hoped to watch him live a life of health and happiness.<br /><br /><br />He leaves behind many family and friends who love him so dearly. He is already so very missed and although the time spent was brief we are eternally grateful to have been blessed with his presence in our lives. He was a funny and sweet young man, who lit up any room he walked in. We hope he knows that he is deeply loved and we pray that his soul finds peace.<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50025840_1596043166928648_r.jpeg" alt="50025840_1596043166928648_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />Because his departure was so sudden and unexpected, we are humbly asking for donations to help minimize the financial impact of funeral costs as well as to try to give Brandon the send off he deserves. Our funeral expenses are currently estimated at $5,000. The donations received will be handled by his two older sisters, Ashley and Angela. With these funds we intend to hold a service for his family to honor his memory as well as pay for other services that come with these unfortunate circumstances.<br /><br />We are incredibly grateful for the outpour of love and support from our family and friends. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all in advance for your time in reading his story and for any donations. <br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50025840_1596051950806182_r.jpeg" alt="50025840_1596051950806182_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50025840_1596043256560810_r.jpeg" alt="50025840_1596043256560810_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/50025840_1596056805517191_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="50025840_1596056805517191_r.jpeg" />

In Loving Memory of <br />           ISRAEL “IZZY” QUESADA<br />On June 27, 2020 God gained another angel. Israel Quezada Valencia’s life was cut way to short. Israel was the most caring, loving, loyal son, brother, and spouse but most importantly father. Israel is survived by his son Noel, his daughter Olivia and has a babygirl on the way with his wife Ariana. Israel was the sole provider for his family and to help in this difficult time as well as allow the family to grieve, we are asking for donations to fulfill his last wishes. No amount is too small. Thank you all for your support and prayers in this trying time.

While she has started chemo, there is a long road ahead, and she has had some poor luck. <br />Erica has received 3 biopsies to diagnose her illness and lost over 100lb. They also found a tumor in her chest that is crushing her lung. The day after she started chemo she suffered from a pulmonary embolism and has been left very weak and unable to work.<br />Erica remains to be the light in this tough time.<br />All donations are appreciated and will go directly to helping keep her above water<br />Thank you all so much <br />SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!
