Help the Ghina family evacuation from Gaza

<div>As many of you may know, my big sister, Amber has been on a cancer fighting journey since early this year. I think it’s safe to say that to know Amber is to love her. For those who don’t know her, I have no doubts that you would love her too. She’s a loving, selfless, thoughtful daughter, mother, wife, and friend based in Monterey County with her husband, Jordan, and their three wonderful children aged 2, 7, &amp; 18. Amber has devoted 25 years to Monterey County Office of Education as a paraprofessional, braille transcriber, and program materials specialist. With her kindness, patience, and dedication to accessibility she has enriched the lives of countless children in the special education program and the many colleagues who’ve worked alongside her.

Her people are her purpose and she puts her all into everything she does. No joke. She plans and executes a birthday party that’ll make your inner child squeal with pure joy every time.

<div>Amber was unfortunately laid off after 25 years with MCOE and this reasonably adds another layer of unknowns to an already unpredictable time. We want to ease the burden of worry as much as possible so we’re reaching out to ask for support for her and her family during this trying time. We hope to raise funds to go towards rising medical bills, daily cost of living, and any alternate wellness therapies not covered by insurance.

<div>In mid-February Amber went in for an annual mammogram and the doctors reported three suspicious findings. Over the last eight months, she has been undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hydration therapy and on September 17th, she rang the bell to celebrate her final chemo treatment!

<div>She underwent surgery on November 1st to receive a bilateral mastectomy and lymph removal surgery and has entered into her recovery era before she eventually begins radiation therapy.

<div>We are inspired and in awe of the grace and strength she moves through adversity with. She’s done everything in her power to remain positive, celebrate every milestone in her healing, and still maintain a sense of humor. In the midst of treatment she’s still finding ways to give back to other women through breast cancer fundraisers and charity events and spreading the word about incredibly impactful organizations like Breast Cancer Assistance Group of Monterey County and Helping One Woman.

The few items available were unaffordable due to skyrocketing prices. My children, Mariam and Tala, would ask for simple pleasures like chocolate or candy, which I was unable to provide. We used to have a peaceful life in our home.In the war-torn streets,my children endure unimaginable hardships, deprived of the most basic necessities for survival. They wander amidst rubble that was once their homes, haunted by the echoes of explosions and the constant fear of violence. Food and clean water are scarce commodities, luxuries they can only dream of. Their innocent laughter has been replaced by silent tears, their playgrounds now littered with remnants of war. Coordinators in Egypt, authorized to add my family's names to the list at the border, are now demanding between $5,000 and $7,000 per PERSON! They will not add the names until we can prove that we have the money ready.

<div>My name is <b>Adam Wael</b>, son of Gaza
Previously, I used to live in the city of Khan Yunis in the middle of the Gaza Strip, specifically in a neighborhood called <b>Al-Amal Neighborhood</b>... a small neighborhood in the city of Khan Yunis, which means <b>hope</b> in English... it means hope for everything beautiful in this life... despite all the circumstances we suffer from, but its name It always makes us optimistic that the future will bring all hope and goodness..

<div>   Our life has always been a life of struggle for a more beautiful and better future. I studied. I learned a lot and became educated, and then <b>I sought to achieve many goals in my life, including how to be a reliable man for my family in the best and worst of circumstances.</b>

But unfortunately, when the war came, everything changed... I was not able to achieve that goal under good conditions... Everything became difficult for us day after day until the time for displacement to the city of Rafah came. We were displaced specifically to the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah.

  Please, if you can help me, feel free to do so in the name of humanity.  Don't let me down..<b>what I just want is to help my whole family.</b>

<div>     My mother is sick and suffers from chronic diseases, and I also want her to travel outside the Gaza Strip with my big brother as her companion. The cost of traveling outside the Gaza Strip is $5,000 per person. This amount must be paid to the Egyptians so that they can cross from the Rafah crossing to Egypt, which means the cost of transit for them is equal to $10,000 for two members, in addition to the rest of the other expenses they need for treatment, rent, and the like.

<div>    My father, my brothers, and their wives, most of them have children. <b>I have a family of more than forty people, including 23 grandchildren, all of whom are young children</b>. The youngest is Aya, who is one and a half years old, and the oldest is called Moatasem, who is twenty years old.

<div>I'm Fidaa Al-Ashqar’s son, Abdullah, from Gaza, Palestine. We had a family, a beautiful home, and a taxi. We enjoyed love, warmth, security, and stability. But everything collapsed in an instant. The greatest tragedy that broke our hearts was the martyrdom of my father and older brother. They were martyred while searching for firewood to light a fire, as well as water and food.

There is no shelter, no food, no clean water, and no healthcare. We fled to the south of Gaza, to Rafah and then Khan Younis. After an airstrike on the shelter, we miraculously survived death and have been displaced multiple times.
