Help the Al- Ashqar Family Survive Gaza Crisis

Hello friends - My name is Esther Gayoba from California, USA. I am raising money for my friend Fidaa Al-Ashqar and her family. All money donated will be deposited into a dedicated bank account specifically for this fundraiser and will be transferred directly by me to Fidaa Al-Ashqar's account.

The Al-Ashqar family is from Gaza, they, like so many others, have suffered incredibly over the past year. I will let Fidaa’s son, Abdallah Al-Ashqar, tell you his family's story:

I'm Fidaa Al-Ashqar’s son, Abdullah, from Gaza, Palestine. We had a family, a beautiful home, and a taxi. We enjoyed love, warmth, security, and stability. But everything collapsed in an instant. The greatest tragedy that broke our hearts was the martyrdom of my father and older brother. They were martyred while searching for firewood to light a fire, as well as water and food.

After the suffocating siege, we have at times been left with no other choice but to eat animal feed and wild plants.

Our home was completely destroyed due to the random shelling. We have been displaced, we live in constant fear for our lives, and suffer through hunger and devastation. We have been struggling to survive for over a year since the destruction of war. Our once beautiful home has turned into a battlefield, where survival has become a daily struggle. There is no shelter, no food, no clean water, and no healthcare. We fled to the south of Gaza, to Rafah and then Khan Younis. After an airstrike on the shelter, we miraculously survived death and have been displaced multiple times.

It's me, my mother, my brother Mohamed, my sister Fatima, and my sister Layan. We have no breadwinner after the death of my father and brother. Our conditions are difficult. We live in a tent on the street... there are no aid resources. The trauma and uncertainty we face daily are unimaginable. My family of five has had to flee more than seven times and we are now settled in Khan Younis, where we live in inhumane conditions. We have lost everything, and nothing remains for us. But amidst this darkness, we still cling to hope. I look to you for humanitarian assistance and support to help my family survive this crisis. Your generous donations will help us secure essential necessities such as food, water, shelter, medical care, and transportation out of Gaza. I appeal to you from the depths of my heart to help me raise funds to provide a tent, food, water, and clothing for my mother and my siblings. We are hoping to evacuate Gaza through Egypt. However, the high costs of crossing the Rafah border are a significant barrier. Therefore, we need your support and assistance.
