He was safely transported from Oklahoma to Wyoming where he's beginning the first steps </strong><span style="font-weight:900;">towards</span><strong> multiple surgeries to fix his hip and knees. If you'd like to make further donations for his care, please direct your donations to <a href="http://bigdogshugepaws.com/donate">Big Dogs Huge Paws</a>.<br /><br />Bugatti: From Trash to Treasure</strong>  <br />Bugatti was witnessed being thrown from a vehicle and dumped in a local park where he was picked up by the local animal shelter. This sweet year-old Cane Corso was lame in his back legs and had trouble walking. <a href="http://animalallianceok.org/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Oklahoma Alliance for Animals</a> rescued him from the shelter and had an initial exam done where Bugatti was diagnosed with Grade 4 Patellar Luxation and was given a poor prognosis for long-term recovery.<br /><br />We've sent his x-rays off to Cornell, where they do believe he can be successfully treated, but need to see a CT scan to assess his cruciate ligaments and the role hip dysplasia may be playing. OSU has the CT scanner we need and they can schedule him for a consult and scan just as soon as we raise funds.  <br /><br /><img class="not-resizeable" src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/NfJB9b9jOQo/hqdefault.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />￼ Based on initial estimates, Bugatti's expenses could be:  <br /><br />• $120 CT Consult <br />• $800-1000 CT Scan <br />• $2,000-$3,000 Patellar Luxation (per side based on simpler fix) <br />• $3,000-$4,000 Patellar Luxation (per side based on complicated fix) <br />• $1,500-$2,500 Femoral Head Ostectomy (if he needs it for the hip) <br />• $10 a day for boarding at a local vet hospital  <br /><br />If Bugatti's injuries are on the severe side, we very well could be looking at $12,000 to fix him. We're starting for an ask of $7,000 in hopes the surgeries will be less complicated and he won't require the FHO surgery. Positive thinking!  <br /><br />In the meantime, we need a medical foster for Bugatti. Requirements are:  <br /><br />• No steps or stairs he has to navigate <br />• The ability to lift 100-pounds if necessary (he's a big boy) <br />• A place to recover away from other animals as his activity must be limited <br />• The ability to take him to doctor appointments as needed (if it's determined he's a good candidate, his surgeries will be approximately four weeks apart) <br />• An experienced Cane Corso owner would be perfect, but not required  <br /><br />Please help us get this boy fixed. Patellar Luxation can be incredibly painful and we don't want Bugatti to spend one more day hurting. He's already been discarded as trash. <div>We all know and love Bugatti. The King. The Legend. His story began in heartbreak — thrown from a car and left to die, then dumped in a kill shelter where his time was running out.

<div>But two angels, Amanda and Lisa, said “Not today.” They refused to let his story end there. Bugatti was rescued, had glamour shots taken, and funds were raised to repair his damaged legs. Then came Cassandra, his foster mom…who quickly dropped the “foster” part and gave Bugatti his forever home.

<div>With Cassandra, Bugatti blossomed. He became an ambassador for his breed — greeting everyone he met with confidence and grace, and welcoming new dogs into the pack like the true king he is.

<div><strong>THEN TRAGEDY STRUCK</strong>

<div>One day, Bugatti’s belly swelled. He was rushed to the vet. Fluid drained. Then again. Further testing led to the devastating word no dog parent ever wants to hear: cancer.

<div>After multiple tests and an oncologist consult, the diagnosis came: hemangiosarcoma, an aggressive and heartbreaking cancer.

<div>Bugatti’s oncologist developed a treatment plan focused on quality of life — giving him more good days filled with belly rubs, horse nuggets, and time with his beloved mom and pack.
