I am deb, and together with my companion Wapi, we are dedicated to helping pets whose owners are experiencing homelessness. Through my work with local veterinarians and spay/neuter clinics, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it can be for people without stable housing to access veterinary care for their beloved animals. In between grant cycles, we often find ourselves without the funds needed to provide urgent care, vaccinations, spays, and neuters. This gap can leave pets vulnerable and their owners feeling helpless.
<br>
<br>
 Recently, a pet named Pull Tab was attacked by another dog and needed immediate medical attention. Thanks to generous donations, we were able to get Pull Tab the stitches and antibiotics needed for recovery. Stories like Pull Tab’s remind me how crucial it is to have resources available for emergencies and routine care alike. Every dollar raised goes directly to covering veterinary costs, ensuring pets stay healthy, vaccinated, and safe, while also helping to keep the pet population under control.
<br>
<br>
 For our birthday this month, Wapi and I are asking for your support so we can continue helping pets like Pull Tab. Often, people experiencing homelessness simply don’t have the means to take their pets to the vet, and we help fill that gap for the safety and well-being of everyone. Your donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference. Thank you for considering supporting us and the pets who need care the most.

<font color="#333333">Sweet Gabby was found by a Good Samaritan named Ashley who was walking her dog on May 15th . Her dog Olive sniffed out a cat in the sewer ! This sewer was located by the Cloquet Senior Highschool in Cloquet . <br /><br />Ashley messaged us at Missing Pets in the Northland and I jumped into help . <br /><br />Ashley and I had a lot of help from the homeowner , City of Cloquet employees , Cloquet Fire District and Cloquet Police . <br /><br />The city workers checked on the live trap during the day and Cloquet Police checked on the live trap during their night shifts . Gabby was too scared to go in the trap . On Tuesday , May 21st , Jodi was able to retrieve Gabby with a net from the 5 foot drop into the sewer system . <br /><br />Immediate veterinary care was given . She was extremely dehydrated and on the brink of death when she was found . Two days later her poor extremely emaciated body went into septic shock . She ended up having a seizure but recovered and is currently being treated with fluids and antibiotics ! She spent one night at Blue Pearl ER . I have been doing round the clock nursing care for her . <br /><br />She’s the sweetest cat ! She started purring instantly when she was saved ! <br /><br />She survived being down in the sewer system for at least 1 week if not longer , she deserves a fighting chance at life !<br /><br /></font>

Rescued from city sewer ! Saving Gabby! ❤️

<div>The EMCP family (Erin, Meredith, Claire, and Paige) has experienced an unexpected hardship when their beloved family pet Ajax fell victim to a dog attack.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their hearts break for the other dog in this situation. Unfortunately we know he experienced some challenges in his life, but the extent is unknown. The physical aggression was intense and he went in with intention to kill, and he didn’t know any different.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It took 5-8 minutes to get the two dogs apart. Ajax has significant wounds on his throat, neck, jaw,gums, chest, and legs. There was so much blood and his body went into shock.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Cloquet Animal Hospital and Blue Pearl in Duluth worked diligently to stabilize him and save his life. His road to recovery is not over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fortunately one anonymous donor called in and donated to cover the cost of his second nights at Blue Pearl.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Current vet bills are over $3000. With additional vet bills in the coming weeks at a minimum of $200 for him to go in for laser treatments for healing. This will ensure that Ajax has best possible outcome. There may be a need for 1-2 surgeries down the road for him but at this time its difficult to tell what he may need moving forward.
</div>
<div>EMCP appreciates all the love and support they have received from family and friends. Any donations towards Ajax vet bills and recovery at home are appreciated. Thank you!

<div>Hi. My name is Gayle and I am Jeff’s aunt. A lot of you know me as Auntie Gayle. Jeff recently went to Jamaica and has had a medical emergency. Jeff was found on a beach unresponsive and transported to hospital. His blood sugars were off the charts. Yesterday he was transported via ambulance to another facility that can better address his needs. We were informed yesterday that Jeff is still unresponsive. His heart, lungs (due to pneumonia) and his liver is compromised and failing. He is on a ventilator and has coded twice but they were able to revive him. The only means of transport to get him back to the US is by air ambulance. I have researched our options and we can get him to Miami for $30,000. To fly him to Minnesota is over $67,000. The facility he is in Jamaica is frightening. I am trying to get him to the states for better treatment. I am hoping that this fundraiser will help us do this. Thank you for reading this and for loving Jeffie.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hello, I may have figured out to edit this post. Jeff remains in ICU in Jamaica. I have been trying to transport to the University of Miami hospital but they are diverting patients due to being at capacity. I am now looking at Jackson Memorial in Miami. Jeff has to be accepted to an ICU in the states or we can’t move forward. I have 30 years of social work and case management experience. Coordinating 2 different countries and two different medical systems has been very difficult. We are close. The air ambulance is ready to go within 24 hours of notification of his ability to safely travel. Jeff remains on a ventilator. This situation has been going on for 3 weeks now. I just want him in the states. Family can visit and hard decisions will have to be made
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>i just received an inquiry about Jeff’s status. He remains in an Intensive Care Unit in Falmouth Jamaica. All requests for admission to a hospital in Miami were rejected. Our only option is to transport Jeff to MN which increases the air ambulance cost to over $62,000. John Laurentsen of WCCO is interviewing the family on Thursday morning. I am not sure exactly when the story will be on air. The newest diagnosis to our list of concerns is sepsis. This diagnosis is very concerning. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our family’s story airs on WCCO tonight at 5. A huge thank you to all of you that have supported and donated to get Jeff home

<div>Today we found out some terrible news my sister Meaghan has lost her battle against her demon's. She was doing amazing just hit the one year sober anniversary, getting her college general's finished up. She was so proud of herself as she just found out she got put on the dean's list and most importantly she was getting her kids back and being in their life and was loving every part of being a mother. She just entered the reunification program to fully be runited with her daughter and was getting everything set up to have her son. Sadly after being MIA for 5 days and tons of phone calls from both I and our dad and a welfare check call to the police we have found out what we had fear. We are now having to do what no one wants to do let alone a father of planning you daughter/sister's funeral. She left behind the happiest 14 month old parent less and left behind her 3 year son who she was just reconnecting with and making up for lost time. We weren't expecting this and are so confused and heart broken if you find it in your heart to help us in this terrible time you are amazing as now I have become a full-time mom to 5 kids and my dad a single grandpa who does everything for his grandson. Most importantly pray just please pray. I am so worried about my dad as no parent deserves, expects or should have to plan the child's funeral.

<div>Fred absolutely loved the Minnesota State Fair. He’d often go 5+ times, every year. His passion for this experience will be immortalized with a custom bench with his name on it at the fair, beginning this year. It’ll be a touchstone for all of us that attend, and remember his lust for life. If you’d to contribute, consider making a donation via this GoFundMe page.

<div>Dear Family and Friends,
</div>
<div>My brother was loved by so many and taken too early. I am asking for help with travel and ceremony arrangements in Minnesota on our Reservation FDL. My son and I will be flying out and need some blessings of help.
</div>
<div>He was 48 years old and passed too soon tragically. My brother and I have gone through so many obstacles in our lives, always making the best of it. My brother loved to shelter in place. He struggled with depression was an amazing jeweler, Pool player, and made many people smile with his Magic tricks! Moss said Uncle Jonny was a magic man truly thankful for everything he had. We would get together and have picnics in the parks, and campsites as we stayed every summer in a tent and lived off the land. We helped always by paying it forward, we are survivors of MMIW our mother, and now my brother. Our parents passed away too soon, we were in foster homes, adopted, and then emancipated at age 16. If you could help we humbly ask as my son and I celebrate his life as he takes his journey in a traditional ceremony.
</div>
<div>Thank you for your prayers thoughts and kindness in our great pain we appreciate your help. truly. We are currently facing financial barriers and a date to be set soon

Burial and Travel for my Brother Jon Spry

The strongest person in the world is a grieving mother that wakes up and keeps going every day. In the English language there are orphans and widows, but there is no word for the parent who loses a child. Tammy lives with the indescribable pain of losing her daughter and grandchildren to a horrific act of violence. She describes the daily tribulations of trying to grieve the loss of those closest to her and trying to find purpose and happiness in each day. Tammy’s daughter was her best friend, closest family member, and entire world. Being a grandmother brought Tammy a tremendous amount of joy and she explains feeling empty and alone without her daughter and grandson. Tammy describes an immense amount of guilt for not being able to save her daughter or being able to protect her. As a mother, Tammy wants to remember and honor her daughter and grandchildren with a beautiful headstone for Jackie, baby Kevin, and unborn baby.<br /><br />Tammy states , “we had so many more things to do together, I truly miss them every day, they were my joy and happiness in life, he took that away from me and I miss them so so much. I will never get to meet my new grandson or watch baby Kevin grow up. This is the worst nightmare that could ever happen. Getting through it is one thing, it is never going to go away. Every day is hard. I could not believe someone could take away two beautiful souls. Most of all I want to honor Jackie and baby. People loved and cared about her and still do. They should still be here today”.<br /><br /> <br /><br />All money raised will be used to honor Jackie and baby with an engraved headstone costing no less than $6000.

<p>Jason Ellis, 43 of Duluth passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, from a previously undiagnosed medical issue. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communication from UMD in 2000 and worked at UMD for 14 years. Many faculty, staff, and students knew Jason fondly through his roles in the offices of civic engagement, instructional design, assessment, enrollment management, and the Bulldog Resource Center. All donations will go directly to Jason's wife Shannan and their three young children Evah, Elijah, and Eziah.

Turbo is a year and a half black lab that was found as a stray in Virginia, MN. He has been in the care of The Mesabi Humane  Society. He has severe hip dysplasia with secondary arthritis and his right knee has a lateral patella luxation, which means his knee cap is on the outside of his knee.<br />Turbo is an incredibly sweet and goofy dog with a zest for life despite his medical conditions.<br />We have contacted an Orthopedic Veterinarian that can surgically repair his hips and knee and foresees a positive outcome. The surgery will cost $5000 and we are asking for your help. 100% of your donation will go towards Turbo's medical costs. He deserves to have the ability to run and play without pain and your donation will fulfill our dream of helping this awesome dog! We love him and want to make him feel better!We do not want him to have to wait any longer because he has been more than patient!<br />We need to raise the money by the end of this October, as we need to have the funds available in order to schedule his surgery.

We love our zoo family (Moon, Toothless &amp; Pig) &amp; they have loved having us home during this pandemic. However, the cosmos have seemingly conspired to bring health emergencies to both Toothless &amp; Moon and their humans are in need of some assistance.  <br /><br /><strong>For the last couple weeks, we have been monitoring Moon who has had a limp &amp; we are nearly certain it is an ACL injury that will require surgery.</strong> We have contacted our vet to get an idea of the total cost &amp; that is the priority of this crowd-fund. We would likely not be in a situation to ask our friends &amp; loved ones for money at this time, but we just recently took care of another urgent animal situation. <br /><br /><strong>On Friday May 15, Toothless was rushed to the animal hospital &amp; was determined to need emergency, life-saving surgery.</strong> His surgery went VERY WELL &amp; we are thrilled to have him home. We were able to scrounge the funds together but it has deeply impacted our financial &amp; mental well-being to have this unexpected expense  <br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/48183360_1589924213845368_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="48183360_1589924213845368_r.jpeg" /><br />                                                                              <strong>(Toothless)<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/48183360_1589924528346499_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="48183360_1589924528346499_r.jpeg" /></strong>  <br /><strong>                                                                              (The Bill)<br /></strong><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/48183360_1589924928783125_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="48183360_1589924928783125_r.jpeg" />

I am asking for help with paying for my daughters funeral. Hope passed away on 12-24-19 at 4:30pm she was 9. Hope would have been 10 on 12-25-19. Hope tragically passed away due to drs at the Hibbing hospital ignoring her symptoms and telling us that she was making it up. Now she is gone and I have no funds to pay for her funeral or even a head stone for her so I am reaching out and asking for help.

On the early morning of January 20, 2017, Emma, Mom Angie and brother Alex were involved in a horrific car accident that claimed 11 year old Emma's life. Emma was a sweet, fun loving girl that loved life. For anyone who has met the Loven family, knows what a loving, kind and caring family they are. No one expects to lose a child, they can really use all the love, prayers and support at this time. Please take the time to put Brian, Angie and Alex into your thoughts and prayers. Your support whether its words of kindness or contributing to the fund would be greatly apprectiated. Thank you.

Every fall I try and do one big thing for charity, along with our other events. I try my hardest to just follow what I feel in my heart. I spend some time alone trying to decide how I can make any kind of difference in my community, or even country.<br />   This year I didn't have to think as long as others.  It's easy to know what I need to do. After seeing police officers killed, and attacked like I have, I have to let them know how much they are appreciated. The ones that I know, and work with are the most decent, and respectful human beings I know. Black ones, white ones, hispanic ones.  There is no talk of people's color in our business. Only how we can help people.  I don't see the hate in person that others claim to see in police officers.<br />      So starting October 17th; Myself, along with anyone else who wishes to join me, will be starting out on the Minnesota/Canada border and heading south all the way to the Iowa border. Our goal is to stop at as many police stations as possible to thank them for what they do. With any donation, you can request that we stop at a specific station, and we will present an award in your name.<br />   Why would I ask for donations for this? The easiest answer is that I can't afford to pull it off on my own.  The more important one  is that the message of support needs to come from more people than just myself.  If you don't agree with my opinion or can't afford anything, then of course you shouldn't donate. If you would like to receive a product in return for your donation, please consider purchasing a firefighter calendar at <a href="http://www.firefighterspecialteams.org">www.firefighterspecialteams.org</a>.   That money will go to support the recognition of law enforcement this year. (These are pre-sales right now. Calendar is still being finalized).<br />    You can follow the trip, and the efforts on Facebook; Firefighter Special Teams. Thank you for considering, or sharing.
