For Raghad’s 19th Year: Help Her Build a Future for Herself and Her Bab. My name is Layla Ashoor, and I’ve known Raghad Abdullah Madi, and her family closely for almost three years. I’m a family friend, and I’ve been helping support their campaign during this time. My dear friend Raghad is turning 19. She should be entering this moment surrounded by stability, plans, and hope for the future. Instead, she is navigating a reality no young woman should have to face. Raghad is from Gaza. For nearly two years, her family has been surviving under unimaginable conditions, relying on the kindness of others to get through each day. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, their campaign has now raised over €35,000. These funds have been used over a long period to support the survival of a family of seven, urgent medical treatment, and basic needs under extremely difficult conditions where food, medicine, and essentials are scarce and expensive due to ongoing siege conditions. The past months have been especially devastating. Raghad’s 15-year-old brother was shot while trying to reach humanitarian aid. He suffered a severe spinal injury and a ruptured abdomen, and since then, he has been in and out of hospital, undergoing multiple surgeries and fighting life-threatening infections. For eight long months, this family has been living between fear, hope, and survival. Through all of this, Raghad has been a pillar for her family. She continues her studies, studying Commerce in English at Al-Azhar University, holding on to her education as a lifeline for a better future. She is currently living in a tent under extremely difficult conditions and still tries to continue her education whenever possible. In the midst of all this, Raghad’s life has also changed in other ways. A few months ago, she got married—stepping into a new chapter of responsibility and adulthood while still carrying so much for her family. Now, she is also preparing to become a mother. This should be a time of support, safety, and hope. Instead, she is facing uncertainty about how to prepare for her baby while still surviving day to day. That’s why this moment matters. This campaign is not just about immediate support—it’s about helping Raghad build a basic level of stability as she enters this new chapter of her life, so she is not left carrying these responsibilities alone while continuing her studies and preparing for motherhood. Your support can help: • Provide essential needs for her pregnancy and upcoming newborn • Help her continue her studies while living in a tent under extremely difficult conditions • Provide a laptop so she can study properly • Help her maintain basic stability during this period of her life Even the smallest contribution, or simply sharing her story, can make a difference. Let’s come together to support Raghad as she enters this new chapter of her life—so she knows she is not alone, and that people care about her and her child’s future. Thank you for being here. Layla

Description Students in Gaza are continuing their education under extremely difficult circumstances. Many are determined to study, attend online classes, and access learning materials—but they lack one essential tool: a laptop. Without access to a device, students are unable to keep up with coursework, download materials, or participate fully in their education. This campaign aims to provide reliable laptops to students who need them most, starting with an initial goal of £5,000. Device costs vary depending on what is being let in. A mid-range estimate is around $1,000, but prices go up because crossings are often closed and what comes in is limited. This means our first milestone will support approximately 4–5 students, depending on pricing. This is not a one-time effort. It’s the beginning of an ongoing commitment to support students in Gaza with access to education and opportunity.
