<img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/51102466_159970857831911_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="51102466_159970857831911_r.jpeg" />Late last night or early this morning my boyfriend's dad who works at the local Mill and his wife who is a hospice nurse lost their house in the fire that went through Gates Oregon. After initially being evacuated early Tuesday morning and gathering as many essentials/important paperwork as they could quickly his father was allowed back up the hwy to try and save his home that evening. He arrived to the house and unfortunately their water had been turned off. He stayed as long as he could and then had to leave due to the fire getting worse. Their home was also looted and then their house, cars, tractor, all of his hunting mounts and personal belongings went up in flames. As you can see in the picture the one thing that survived was the flag pole where the American flag flew daily with an Eagle on top of it. We are hoping to help raise some money to help them out during this next phase in life, while they process this loss and find a new place to call home. Anything donated is much appreciated and if money is not something that can be donated then please do send up a prayer for them and others affected by mother nature.

Hello, friends and family and freaks galore! I am turning 30 on March 13th and my emotions??? Are flaring up??? To celebrate this brand new adventure, I am traveling to New Zealand a couple days after my birthday for a few weeks with a GLORIOUS BUNCH of humans from Live Salted to photograph and video their (first ever) NZ Salt Conference and whatever wiiiiild adventures may occur. Wowwww, I know, right??! And on a personal note, I'm celebrating myself, my life so far, because who knows how much time I have left with you all! I hope its plenty, of course, but that's not entirely in my control, right? In the wise words of our great wizard, Gandalf, "All we have to decide is what to do with the time we have left." So, I am asking for you help with getting me on a plane safely and launching me into a new hemisphere and a whole new (pretty dang wild) chapter of being-the-cuss-alive. Hello all! Thank you for taking the time to support my friend. I have a big a favor to ask all of you. My best friend Reed Dixon has Pars Defect. He has a grade 2 anterolisthesis of L5 on S1 with resultant severe degenerative disc disease.  As a result of Pars Interarticularis Defect at L5. In English, this means that one of the vertebrae in his lower back is fractured and has allowed the disc to slip forward 50%.  Reed is a great student (4.1 gpa) that excells in dance, track and football. His passion for all those is unmatched and is the hardest working person I know. This situation is very serious. He must get surgery to be able to do any of these things again. The surgery costs $50,000+ . Anything helps, I need to get my best friend back on the field. Words can not explain the love I got for this guy. Reed and his family will greatly appreciate any donations given.

A Brother in Need: Reed's Recovery 

Hey everyone! At the end of June,I am embarking on a journey to the Sunshine Coast,Australia and beyond to help serve communities and spread the gospel of Christ through an organization called YWAM ( Youth With A Mission). This organization's primary goal is to help countries and communities with their tagible needs in order to best serve and communicate with them. I will be going through a schooling process known as a DTS (Decipleship Training School) which is a process that is six months long. The first three months are training and schooling in both the Word of God and the practical skills needed in the missions field. The next three months are a 'real world' missions trip. I will be going to numberous countries at this point and utilizing the skills that I have learned. As you can see, this is a huge dream that God has given to me and is going to require a lot of work to get there. As I start my journey, I want to invite you to be apart of my trip and mission. The most important thing that you can do with me is pray. Pray that I have safe travels and that hearts are open to the opportunities that I have in front of me. The other area that I am in need of partnership in is financially. Every dollar and penny donated helps me move toward my dream.The money will be going to things like airfare,tuition,and other necessary amenities for this six month trek. Those who partner with me in this way are going to recieve frequent updates as well as other 'perks' allowing you to truly partner with me and see how far our money can go to change the world.
