I turned a shitty loading dock into what I saw as a beautiful "backyard stage" of local talent.

<div>Matthew Sweet, our longtime inspiration and dear friend, suffered a debilitating stroke this past week in Toronto while in the early days of a national tour. He has been unexpectedly and tragically forced off the road and onto a long, uncertain path to recovery. We are asking for financial help in this difficult time from his family, friends, and fans. Without insurance or touring income, Matthew faces an enormous financial burden.

He will then require months of treatment and rehabilitation that we hope will lead to a full recovery. Needless to say, the costs for all of this treatment will be overwhelming. At the beginning of September, Charlie fell ill to kidney disease, and after many life-saving medical efforts, she passed away. Not a month later, Omelet showed symptoms that he was struggling to breathe. After vet appointments, tests, and an emergency vet visit that landed him in the ICU, he also passed away quite suddenly.

Craig Jordan was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He loved and cherished being able to experience the suburban upbringing in Hoffman Estates, IL also. Being diagnosed with epilepsy in his early 20's, he had to make tough adjustments in life. Thankfully his family and close friends were his strongest support system. Unfortunately, he lost his battle to epilepsy on Sept.8, 2024 early in the morning. Obviously Claire is too stubborn for that and is now thankfully on the road to recovery.

With the U.S. healthcare system being what it is, insurance will only cover so much for so long, leaving Claire and her family to absorb the costs. In addition, Claire will not be able to work for the foreseeable future (though I'm sure she'll try to go back sooner than she should but that is a battle for a different day). We all know her husband Eric is an extraordinary human, however he does not have the ability to print money. And though I'm sure he would be more than willing to, no one wants him to get a second job. They both deserve time to rest and heal without having to worry about income.
