 Hello! Our names are Catherine, Eevee, and Tooth, and we are currently homeless and escaping domestic violence. We have at this point been homeless for over a year and have just gotten out of a very unsafe living environment, we are safe for now and managed to get to a hotel for a few weeks through mutual aid while we figure out what to do next. The three of us have been couch surfing up until this point and it has left us really exposed to some pretty intense systematic abuse, physical abuse, and sexual assault, much of it discriminatory (ableism, transphobia, etc).

 All of us are all disabled in various ways, all of us deal with dissociative issues and PTSD (amongst other things) and it's severely limited our opportunities to make stable income. Catherine is able to work but is limited to art/animation work and can’t continue to do so until we have stable housing and an internet connection. Eevee struggles with psychological issues that keep her from going outside most days and interfere with her ability to function on very basic levels. Tooth specifically has a great deal of difficulty walking on her own due to chronic pain issues and has to use a cane and also struggles with narcolepsy, she has had to rely on us a lot for various needs and we are struggling to be able to account for those needs as well as our own.

 A case worker has been helping us secure stable housing and disability aid in the future, but this is likely a few months from now and we don’t really have the funds to afford a hotel for that amount of time. Ideally we would find a place cheaper and more safe than a hotel, however we cannot afford to be choosy right now.

 The funding goal for this is a bit arbitrary, truthfully need whatever help we can get right now. With our various disabilities and lack of funds, this will very likely put us in danger of actually getting hurt or worse. My property manager sexually harassed me, and after I refused his advances. He did this in front of my niece who I had finally gotten out of a very abusive household that she’d been stuck in her whole life. After that he began trying to force me out of my apartment. I need to move quickly to protect both of us. I can’t let my niece nor myself live under another sexually exploitative person like this. This has been frightening, overwhelming, and deeply unfair, but being quiet would only make it harder for me to help my niece and myself so I started speaking out immediately, and will continue to. I wanted to handle this on my own, and I still intend to keep fighting for us myself by continuing to work as much as possible and take up more side jobs where I can. I know we need outside support to get through this safely though. It's time to leave, as much as I love my little apartment.

The money from this fundraiser will help cover the costs of moving into a new apartment, including movers because I am disabled as are most of my friends, as well as first and last month’s rent and a security deposit. Anything left over would go to saving for my niece or further helping her get the root canals she needs. I come from very little, and for a long time I believed very little in the world, until people on the internet helped me get my niece out of abuse after nearly 10 years of trying privately on my own. Whether you are able to help or not, I will be forever grateful for the kindness people have already shown us and of course the kindness y’all continue to give. If you can help us move quickly into a safe home, I thank you with every bit of my heart. 

I was already planning to move from my current place because it doesn't accommodate Frances, and there’s the nice bonus that just a little bit out of town we can have a place that not only fits us both, but is safe and way cheaper than where we’re at. Now I fear I have the only options of a) jeopardizing my niece and I’s safety and comfortability by staying here while I legally fight him, b) pander to this man which is also dangerous and gross, or c) get us out of here as soon as possible. I prefer the safest route, option c.. I just want us to be safe, I want to be able to focus on the dental and medical care she needs, I want her to be able to go on walks or swim with her around our little neighborhood whenever she asks me to without fear of this nasty man who has a lot of power over me. The pieces were all coming together before the sexual harassment and I’d just simply like to get back to where we were. 


I have copies of my conversations with my property manager including me confronting him for this behavior. I can’t release them right now because there’s a good chance I will need to take him to court using those texts, but if I ever can I will for transparency and to help warn others of this man and people like him. He began trying to push me out of my apartment until  I informed him I had witnesses to what he’d said to me. He backed off and agreed to give me more space but I fear he won’t hold back for long. She's also raised thousands of dollars for the Nange Healing and Harm Reduction Center in Uganda, supporting trans and queer people halfway across the world she'll likely never meet.

<div>Back in March, Melanie finally underwent bottom surgery, a surgery she'd waited years for. Shortly before the procedure, she lost her job. She was left with an impossible choice: undergo the surgery that she had been waiting for her entire life at a significantly greater expense than expected, or cancel her surgery and hope for another date at some far off point in the future. She did what most of us would have done, and chose surgery.

<div>Recovery has been difficult and has come with complications. At the same time, she's been unable to find new work, and the financial strain has become serious. The debt piled up fast, and eventually it became too much. Melanie has had to leave DC because she could no longer afford to live here. She's currently staying with family in Virginia Beach. She's safe, but she's isolated from the community that has always been her home; the community that she was instrumental in building.

<div>Hi, I'm Hannah. I am receiving bottom surgery (vaginoplasty) on April 14, 2025. As part of this surgery, electrolysis/laser hair removal is required for surgery. This costs (for me at least) $160/hour of electrolysis. So far, I have done 14 hours of electrolysis and have another 6 hours scheduled for the month of March with more possibly needed. Technically, hair removal is covered, but it is all out of network and my deductible is $7000. In addition, if I experience complications during surgery, I may have to be moved to a "Skilled Nursing Facility" for more intensive care during recovery. The nursing facilities my provider uses are also out of network.

Suddenly, without much warning, medicaid removed me from eligibility on December 1, 2023.

She has been battling chronic endometriosis since July 2021, enduring excruciating pain, and managing her condition with incredible strength. Unfortunately, her journey has taken a turn, and she now faces a life-altering medical challenge.

<div>Over the past few months, Alicia's pain has intensified, particularly on her right side near her ovary. Her suffering reached a peak when she dropped to the floor in pain on a Saturday morning, leading us to her most recent emergency room visit, where medical professionals struggled to provide an explanation for the severity of her pain. That Saturday morning while Alicia was in the hospital, I (Mikayla) scheduled an immediate appointment with her OBGYN, and the news she received on October 9th, 2023 was devastating.

<div>Yesterday, Alicia was not only diagnosed with a large cyst on her ovary, but also an endometriosis mass. These two conditions have joined forces, creating an 8 cm problem on her ovary - causing her immense distress and agony. Her doctor has advised her that surgery to remove the right ovary is the best option for relief and recovery.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Alicia's workplace recently lost insurance coverage, and we missed the window to apply for a "life-altering event" extension for her to be added onto my Select Health insurance. Jayme and Winston’s battle with Homelessness

<div>Logan (thatdyingguy on instagram) has recently, finally received the diagnosis that explains his life-long symptoms. Unfortunately, that diagnosis is life-limiting, and his body is struggling to survive. Logan has vEDS, or vascular Elhers Danlos Syndrome. The connective tissue in his veins, arteries, and hollow organs is not strong enough to keep him alive. He has already suffered 2 arterial ruptures and a stomach perforation at the age of 25, and now that he has a diagnosis, he has made the decision that he does not want to live through another one and signed his DNR. vEDS could take his life at any time, there is an associated life expectancy but the nature of the condition means that any of his arteries could rupture and kill him at any time. Logan has done amazing things with his life. He has provided community and support through his content creation, and his proudest moment was working with the Trevor Project as his country attacks trans rights. All he wants is to be able to complete his bucket list and afford the things that bring him comfort. He has no financial ability to do that on his own. Some of his bucket list plans are to travel to Europe and go swimming with otters. Any help would be appreciated in order to allow him to spend his remaining time living his life exactly the way he wants and deserves, with no financial concerns, in comfort, with joy, with dignity and able to do the things he needs to do in order to give him the control he needs to face this. Help support Logan create his legacy and donate to ensure he creates memories that will live on.

<div>Update: Logan suffered a cardiac event this past weekend (5/6/23) and is on medications to help stabilize his heart. But the rate at which he is declining has shifted his unknown amount of time left to a much shorter interval. Logan turns 26 on May 22nd and his current prognosis means he will be very lucky to make it to 30. We have upped the goal to match his new bucket list goals, which includes getting a cabin in the mountains to live the rest of his life peacefully. Logan still wishes to travel as much as possible, but he wants his home, and where he passes, to be a cozy cabin in the mountains.

<div>Update: Logan spent another week in the hospital, being released on 6/2/2023. This instance was quote alarming, as it involved bleeding from an unknown source again. The source of the bleeding was found, was luckily superficial, and is on the mend. During this episode, before getting to the hospital, Logan spend several days semi-conscious and not very lucid at all, not able to speak for himself or make decisions, other than short demands for comfort items. In that time, he found so much strength through his support system. His partner and wonderful family and friends have always been a great support, and Logan always knows he is safe and surrounded by love.

<div>Update: 12/22/23 Logan has been battling a kidney infection for four months now, and has gone septic multiple times. His body is struggling to fight this infection, he's been on countless rounds of antibiotics and doctors are scrambling to make it go away. His weight has dropped significantly and his doctors are also worried about organ failure because of that. He's been experiencing a myriad of unexplained symptoms, like his legs going numb and his blood pressure spiking very high and dropping very low randomly. He's seeing multiple new specialists to figure things out, but it feels like fighting a battle as one man against an army of things going wrong. He's doing his best to keep up with his body as it fails in unexpected ways, but it's a struggle every day. His husband took time off of work to focus on caring for him, and is starting a work-from-home job soon, but finances are tight.
