We're being evicted. I am fundraising for me and my boyfriend, cabinworm, to stay in our home. This is especially urgent because cabinworm is currently recovering from top surgery and needs a place to heal.

Today, the landlord and I came to a miraculous agreement: he will cancel our eviction, forgive the remaining debt, and renew our lease at a reduced rent if we pay $5,000 before the end of the month, a fraction of what we owe.

To help pay for this apartment, cabinworm secured two months worth of rental assistance, has been working as a substitute teacher, and canvassed. He got another job as a data trainer. He's also been working on his PhD in Philosophy, doing a research fellowship at USC, and speaking at conferences.

Most of my uploads this year (around 2/3) have been demonetized. That said, my channel is able to reliably bring in $1,500/month. Meanwhile, we are still pursuing legal action against cabinworm's previous employer, applying for disability, and fighting to keep our food stamps. That's our financial situation in a nutshell.

We've had some difficult experiences this year. I was hospitalized, we got scammed twice, extended family crap. At the same time, we've had a lot of breakthroughs, cabinworm getting top surgery and being accepted into a PhD being the big ones.
