Support William Knowles in Overcoming Hardship

<div>On July 15 I suffered from a major stroke. Leaving me partially paralyzed, deaf in one ear, and no feeling in the right side of my body. One of the hardest things to do is ask for help, but today I am calling on my angels and my karma bank. The last of my money paid rent, and I am not sure where next months rent is coming from. I still need to see a neurologist, a urologist, and a cardiologist. I have medications that I cannot afford, an amazing wife and 3 beautiful dogs to feed and I don't know what to to do. POST-STROKE HELP

The unexpected nature of her passing doesn’t seem real; there are so many of you and our family who are grieving in our disbelief and sudden departure of an incredible wife, mom, sister, daughter and constant strength for so many.</span>

Tim Skorick Family Funeral Expenses

Relief for Clark family expenses

Dear friends, families, InfoSec and Startup community,<br /><br />Lebanon needs your support ! I am raising funds to help our country recover. <strong>My phase 1 goal is to raise US$25,000 to provide immediate assistance for basic needs.</strong><br /><br />First of all let me thank Charles Nouÿrit for hosting this fundraiser in my name. Unfortunately I can't do it from Lebanon due to country restrictions and to banking restrictions. Charles is one of my most trusted friends and he is a trusted member of our community so it seemed natural to ask him to be my proxy. Thank you Charles.<br /><br />The devastating explosion that took place on August 4th in the Beirut harbor left hundreds dead, many missing and thousands homeless. Homes, hospitals, businesses have been completely destroyed. Hospitals are extremely overwhelmed and forced to turn away injured people. Lebanon is in a state of humanitarian disaster. <br /><br />My immediate family and myself are safe, thank God, but many have lost everything and assessing the damage and responding to first needs has been overwhelming. On top of that, the severe economic crisis that our country has been going through for the past 10 months, the biggest in its history, has left all of us with no or little access to funds. Poverty has reached nearly 60% of the population and the local currency has devalued to record levels that Lebanon had not seen since the end of its civil war.<br /><br />The international relief efforts that have been pouring towards Lebanon are staggering, whether from foreign governments or personal initiatives. I thank everyone who is helping, and I am now asking for your support as well.<br /><br />I’m hoping to raise USD25,000 from my immediate friends and InfoSec family, friends-of-friends and general public to help me cover basic needs of people affected by the blast.<br /><br /><strong>The funds collected will be used in a first phase to purchase food and medical supplies that will be distributed directly to those in need, and in a second phase to help those who can't afford it to start rebuilding their homes. La pauvreté a atteint près de 60 % de la population et la monnaie locale s'est dévaluée à des niveaux records que le Liban n'avait pas connus depuis la fin de sa guerre civile.<br /><br />Les efforts d'aide internationale qui se déversent sur le Liban sont stupéfiants, qu'ils proviennent de gouvernements étrangers ou d'initiatives personnelles. Beirut Relief Fund

<p dir="ltr">On November 20, Bill was hospitalized out of country for gallbladder and pancreatitis. He is still inpatient and money is running out. As of Dec 1, the subtotal is $25,000. 
</p>

<p dir="ltr">We are thrilled that he is receiving great care as the hospital nearest to him is a world class hospital, so no need to worry about that. However, being out of country, Billiam's American insurance does not work and must pay cash/credit for everything. 
</p>

<p dir="ltr">Bill has been hospitalized for two weeks already, and we don't know when doctors will release him from the hospital. Room fees alone are more than $1000 a day; that doesn't include procedures, physician fees, etc. 
</p>

<p dir="ltr">He doesn't yet know that we're starting a gofundme project for his medical bills, but probably will soon. We love our Billiam.

Bill's Medical Emergency Fund

<p>I just got married in December.<br /><br />Three weeks later, I was diagnosed with cancer. <br /><br />Last night, my husband was admitted to the emergency room, I don't know when he'll be out or if he'll be OK.<br /><br />I'm on medical leave, but been turned down for short-term disability. I'm reapplying. I used up all my savings being sick and getting diagnosed.<br /><br />We're in trouble. <br /><br />We have mounting medical bills, household bills, and even if I keep resubmitting for short-term disability and eventually get it, we will still be in trouble.<br /><br />I don't know what to do.<br /><br />We need help. Any help. Grocery money, gas money, bill money, chemotherapy money. <br /><br />I'm terrible at asking for help, I've always been the one people go to for help. <br /><br />But here I am, telling total strangers incredibly personal things about me.
