As many of you know, Perdi is not just my amazing companion, she is also my medical alert service dog. Perdi is so good that she has not only looked after me, but she has also alerted on several other people while we have been out around town. She's extremely intelligent, happy, and loves everyone.

This morning (16 January 2026), Perdi was diagnosed with cancer. She has a mass on her spleen that is slowly bleeding into her abdomen. Our only option is emergency surgery. I am on SSDI, and this year I will be receiving less money than last year thanks to insurance premiums going sky high.

These funds will be used exclusively to cover the vet bills for the surgery, post-op appointments, and post-op treatments or supplies Perdi may need.

In the case that there are any unused funds, they will be donated to Denkai Animal Sanctuary, in Perdi's name, since they facilitated her rescue.
