Life can change in an instant. Four years ago when we lost Staci I never thought we would be thinking about another funeral…another loss…more tragedy for a beautiful family.

Our main goal right now for Niko, Neva, and Viktor, is stability, safety, and consistency. These three kids didn’t ask for this, to lose one parent was too much… but both…it’s horrible. They deserve a childhood rooted in love, security, and hope.

The request you’ve all had regarding how to help has been so heavy on my heart because we just don’t know the full picture of what we’re doing and what we need. We do know though that we want to make sure Niko, Viktor, and Neva can focus on being kids instead of worrying about adult problems.

The first concerns we have financially are the funeral expenses (date to be determined) and the legal fees to get the ball rolling for probate, guardianship and conservatorship. The two of those issues combined are a scary number. The other costs will be just basic ‘we have kids to house and take care of’ costs.

All that to say if you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means just as much. Community matters. Prayer matters. We need it all!
