Hi everyone,

I am in need of some community assistance to help my girl get on stage for her first major performance!

Nila has been wanting to get on stage and perform for quite awhile now, however I have had to put this on hold because it’s quite a bit of a financial strain for me. Some of you may know that I’m a full time graduate student (graduate in May!) and I manage all parenting responsibilities on my own (pray for my partner to arrive soon!)

It really does take a village and that’s where I’m hoping you all can come in *hug*

My hope is that she can perform hip hop in “The Nutcracker” this year without it causing too much financial stress, because Lord knows I already have enough regular stress *sigh*

It would mean the world for both of us to receive any and all help

Here is a breakdown of the fees:

$75 showcase fee

$50 admin fee

$95 costume fee

$128 x 3 months of classes (Oct, Nov, and Dec)

Total: $604

This doesn’t include the yearly registration fee or ticket prices (yes we have to pay to attend the show smh), so my hope is that I can cover these and receive the remaining balance through the community

For some of you, this may not even seem like a lot, however for my one woman show, it’s a big bill! Being able to receive this money just gives me huge peace of mind and allows me some breathing room (phew). It also helps me from ruminating on whether I made the best decision and keeps me from resenting the whole thing...let’s be real!
