Mission

Stand Up To Cancer raises awareness and funds research to detect and treat cancers with the aspiration to cure all patients. We have set a bold goal to make early-stage detection an essential part of the standard of care for all cancers. SU2C was established in 2008 as a division of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN 95-1644609). In 2022, SU2C separately incorporated and obtained recognition from the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN 88-4115555). SU2C remains a supporting organization to EIF.

    Several years ago, Rob Preece, a long-time marathon runner, developed a soreness in his leg that wasn’t going away. Eventually, a lump appeared in the same spot. A biopsy revealed something he never could have expected: a rare and aggressive form of sarcoma called UPS. His doctor told him about an international clinical trial funded by #StandUpToCancer that was enrolling people with his type of sarcoma.
