Friends. This Giving Season I am Standing Up to Cancer.
I am doing this in honor of my mother in law Janet who has been battling stage 4 cancer this entire year. She is a rock and an inspiration to our family. Thanks to great care and her resilience, she is currently in remission.
I am launching this campaign to help the incredible team at Stand up to Cancer fulfill their mission to raise awareness and fund research to detect and treat cancers with the aspiration to cure all patients.
SU2C’s Early Detection and Cancer Interception initiatives focus on proactive approaches that identify cancer risks and intervene early.
These initiatives include:
Advanced Screening Techniques: Utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as liquid biopsies, imaging, and molecular analysis to detect cancer markers before clinical symptoms arise.
Prevention and Early Intervention: Research into how cancer begins and evolves has paved the way for treatments that can be applied at the earliest stages of cancer formation, aiming to halt progression before the disease becomes aggressive.
These methods reflect a shift from the conventional reactive approach to one that emphasizes prevention and early management, offering patients more options and potentially more effective outcomes.
