A few days ago, someone called us far out in Long Island. A cat in dire distress had wandered to their door, half dead.  She was sweet and friendly, but her eyes begging for help.  Her fur was dishevelled, her spine sticking out from starvation. We rushed over and took her to the vet, to discover tragic news.

Thankfully, she is FIV and FELV negative. But has obviously been though a lot of painful abuse - her 2 right ribs are broken, and her 2 left ribs broken in the past, and now healed on their own. She weights only 5 lbs, and isn't eating or drinking. Her heart and thyroid are enlarged, and has so many fleas, she has anaemia. She needs surgery to remove her thyroid, so she can gain a little weight.

It will be a long and slow recovery for this poor girl, both physically and mentally. But at least she will no longer be abused.

This GofundMe is to help cover her medical bills to heal her broken bones, and get her system back to a healthy state.

And once she's strong enough, we also will be seeking a loving foster and forever home for this girl, so that she never feels a boot in her ribs or feel pain or fear. Just love and safety.

This beautiful tuxedo boy Vito was dumped into the streets about 2 years ago to fend for himself. Tired, scared and hungry, he went to a woman's door to beg for feed and help. His once beautiful fur was matted and ungroomed.

On the second night, she heard a terrible screaming for at least 5 minutes piercing the night - and the next morning, Vito arrived at her doorstep, mauled, bleeding, and limping from a broken leg.

On day 4, she placed a plea for help on Facebook, and SaintSpiro heard. And immediately went over to rescue him.

This fundraiser is to help towards the medical bills to help this poor boy return back to the world healed and healthy - at least in body. The soul and spirit will hopefully come from the loving foster/adopter, who will offer him love, security and sanctuary, so he can thrive and flourish into the beautiful boy he is meant to be.

We're an independent cat rescue organization, rescuing, vetting, fostering and adopting cats in need in New York. We recently were called in on a very urgent situation, and need help funding the dire medical bills to save these cats.

An elderly man living alone lost his job due to Covid, and is barely surviving.
Just before winter, 2 windows in his basement broke, and he couldn't afford to fix them. A pregnant mom cat and 2 other males came in to escape the cold. She gave birth, and he started feeding them.

He reached out to various rescues for help, but none arrived. The situation got out of control, and now here are 9 cats living in the basement, in a very dangerously unhygenic space. They have never seen the sun or sky, or breathed fresh air.

The mom is seriously sick, and had to be taken to the animal hospital. All of the cats need to be immediately taken to the vet for medical attention, neutering/spaying, boarding at the vet until they are healthy enough to be fostered and adopted. They are all very friendly, and this cat family needs help for the parents and their kittens. Two of the female kittens (7 months old) are now pregnant.

This GoFundMe is to provide the urgent and expensive medical help for these beautiful 9 cats, so they can have a chance to get healthy and find safe forever homes. Every animal deserves a second chance.
