Medical bills for Hoarded Cats

We're an independent cat rescue organization, rescuing, vetting, fostering and adopting cats in need in New York. We recently were called in on a very urgent situation, and need help funding the dire medical bills to save these cats.

An elderly man living alone lost his job due to Covid, and is barely surviving.
Just before winter, 2 windows in his basement broke, and he couldn't afford to fix them. A pregnant mom cat and 2 other males came in to escape the cold. She gave birth, and he started feeding them.

He reached out to various rescues for help, but none arrived. The situation got out of control, and now here are 9 cats living in the basement, in a very dangerously unhygenic space. They have never seen the sun or sky, or breathed fresh air.

The mom is seriously sick, and had to be taken to the animal hospital. All of the cats need to be immediately taken to the vet for medical attention, neutering/spaying, boarding at the vet until they are healthy enough to be fostered and adopted. They are all very friendly, and this cat family needs help for the parents and their kittens. Two of the female kittens (7 months old) are now pregnant.

This GoFundMe is to provide the urgent and expensive medical help for these beautiful 9 cats, so they can have a chance to get healthy and find safe forever homes. Every animal deserves a second chance.
