Annabelle's Abuse

A few days ago, someone called us far out in Long Island. A cat in dire distress had wandered to their door, half dead.  She was sweet and friendly, but her eyes begging for help.  Her fur was dishevelled, her spine sticking out from starvation. We rushed over and took her to the vet, to discover tragic news.

Thankfully, she is FIV and FELV negative. But has obviously been though a lot of painful abuse - her 2 right ribs are broken, and her 2 left ribs broken in the past, and now healed on their own. She weights only 5 lbs, and isn't eating or drinking. Her heart and thyroid are enlarged, and has so many fleas, she has anaemia. She needs surgery to remove her thyroid, so she can gain a little weight.

It will be a long and slow recovery for this poor girl, both physically and mentally. But at least she will no longer be abused.

This GofundMe is to help cover her medical bills to heal her broken bones, and get her system back to a healthy state.

And once she's strong enough, we also will be seeking a loving foster and forever home for this girl, so that she never feels a boot in her ribs or feel pain or fear. Just love and safety.
