Milo's Sanctuary, Inc. believes that one of the keys to ending the homeless cat population is through TNR (Trap Neuter Return) it is imperative that these community cats be sterlized and returned to a managed colony.

Through our COMMUNITY CAT program we are changing lives of cats and the humans that are trying to help them - our program includes:

1. Education regarding the importance of spaying/neutering all community cats.
2. Hands on TNRing and training others in the trapping, sterilizing and managing of feral colonies.
3. Donating food to feral colony caretakers
4. Donating funds (when available) to the medical care, sterilization, vaccination, microchipping and other veterinarian care when needed to community cats.
5. Training fosters in the care and taming of feral kittens and then helping to find them forever homes after all medical care/sterilization is done.
6. Rescuing homeless and abandoned, injured and sick cats.

Dreams do come true if you believe, work, have faith and trust in the Universe. Tommy knew that and he showed everyone across the world that by having his dream come true of spending a few short years safe, loved, cared for and even found the love of his life at Milo's Sanctuary. We believe that all the years on the street Tommy dreamed of a home, a family and he had faith if he just hung on and fought hard enough his dream would come true.

We believe that our angel Tommy has brought to us the chance of a lifetime, his final gift of love to everyone who helped and loved him. The chance to have a Sanctuary where his fellow cats (and other abused, neglected and forgotten animals) could live their lives safe, loved and cared for just as he finally was.

Milo's Sanctuary has the chance to own our very own beautiful property all set for us to move in with a few renovations, a few catios to be built and TRUEHEART HAVEN will be born in honor of our beloved boy Tommy.

TRUEHEART HAVEN will be a place for animals and humans to come together to find friendship, love, peace and family. A place of joy and healing and a place to greet old friends and new ones as well.

It is 20 minutes away from the property we currently rent and it is 5 acres of fully fenced flat property with it's own well, fruit trees, raised vegetable beds, a beautiful garden and most importantly a place to grow and continue our mission to save special needs cats and kittens.

We have had a special donor come forward who has generously agreed to match any donation up to a total of $10,000.00 if we can raise that much we can cover the costs of set-up and moving and a new era of Milo's Sanctuary will begin and the face of special needs cats will forever be changed for the better.

But we cannot do this alone, we desperately need your help to make this dream come true. No donation is too small and every dollar will be matched up to the promised $10,000.00

For any donation of $200.00 or more your name will be added into our serenity garden on a plaque (or the name of a friend, family member or beloved animal companion) and of course our deepest gratitude.

We are expanding this time to help special needs feral cats and kittens.

Currently we have one house built and will be moving a few special needs feral cats into it. But, we know that it will fill up quickly due to the need of a safe haven for feral cats that have been injured, born with birth defects, seniors or need pawspice care.

The first house is named "THE FORTRESS OF FERALS" and you can see it in this video.

In honor of our friend Sterling who has given up everything to help feral cats we will be naming it TrapKing Palace and we need your help to make this dream a reality.

With the second house built (it will have it's own electricity, air conditioning, heating and lots of things to snuggle in) we will be able to help more special needs ferals that otherwise would be left on the street to die or taken to a shelter to be killed.

This fundraiser is for the cost of the house and for items both for the catio and inside to make it a home for these special angels.

Milo's Sanctuary is a no-kill special needs cat rescue. We take in those that have physical disabilities, seniors, have been abused, injured or are suffering from a terminal illness. These special needs often prevent them from being adopted into a “normal” home. For these cats, we provide a Lifetime Care Program by giving them a permanent home and any medical care that they may need to live out the remainder of their natural lives in a safe, loving and healthy environment. To ensure that these cats receive everything they need for quality of life we have a sponsorship program where anyone can sponsor one of our Lifetime Care Cats.

Our cats come to us from all types of situations, such as local shelters (rescued on their last day), displaced animals from homes that can no longer keep them or those that are sick, injured, abused or abandoned.

It is our ongoing mission to continue our program of rescuing special needs cats and kittens and to ensure that the cats currently in our Lifetime Care Program receive all necessary medical care throughout their lives.

We strongly believe in education as a tool to combat the abandonment of cats that result from their owner’s lack of understanding and fear of dealing with their cats’ special needs. This is Galaxy - she was adopted out of a local Los Angeles shelter back in July of this year as a "free cat" within two weeks of being "adopted" she went from being a totally normal sighted, healthy, happy kitten to a kitten suffering in pain with two completely ruptured eyes.

The person who "adopted" her saw that she was getting an eye infection and proceeded to clean her eyes with tap water and a kitchen dish towel. When the eye infection got worse they finally took her to an eye specialist, but by then the damage was done and she was blind.

When we finally convinced him to surrender her to us (after three days of knowing she was suffering and according to him she "wasn't in pain" how you can look at her and for one second think she's not in pain is beyond us) he FINALLY brought her to our veterinarians and when she was dropped off she had gauze adhered to her one eye. Our veterinarians were horrified and spent quite a while slowly and carefully removing the gauze. Once the gauze was removed, she had pain meds on board and was rehydrated she ate like she hadn't eaten in days (we also found out from a trusted source that he was only feeding her once a day).

She is safe now and in a great foster home. We have had the eyes removed (we didn't feel we could wait to do a fund raiser at the time of rescuing her) and she has been spayed.

Galaxy will be joining our Lifetime Care Program as we feel she has been through enough in her short life and she now has a safe and forever home with us.

This is Wizard and no, you're not seeing double this isn't our very own Sir Thomas Trueheart but it is his doppleganger. Even down to the eye injuries.

We were contacted by some volunteers at a small shelter in South Carolina and we think the best way to tell his story is through his rescuers words:

"Please take the time to read about this opportunity for an abused cat from SC and the 2nd chance offer he has received!

Introducing a super special guy that was found on the streets of Anderson, South Carolina . Pictures of him were posted on Facebook by a concerned citizen. Kelsea Aiken, a co-worker at ACHS Low Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic, saw the post and could not get him off of her mind. He looked so incredibly defeated. The next day he was able to be tempted by sardines to go into a crate. Melanie, his transport angel, texted to say he was safe with her. He was off of the streets!

We named him Wizard. Wizard is an older gentleman, FIV+, and obviously has suffered incredible pain and trauma in his life. His eyes cannot close. He has a painful mouth with several broken teeth. Sadly with the over abundance of cats & not enough homes for the healthy ones, the likelihood of Wizard finding a home was poor. Who would adopt an older FIV+ cat that requires several thousand dollars of medical care?"

Well we answered that question, Milo's Sanctuary, of course! So please help us to get Wizard to California and get him the medical care he will require.

No amount is too small to help Tommy's brother from another mother (and dad too).

Our boy Tommy is having a rough time right now. As most of you know he's FIV+ and that lowers his immune system and can cause other complications. One of which is the virus can get into the bone marrow and attack the red blood cells. This causes severe anemia and is very serious.

He is currently in the hospital being treated. He has undergone one blood transfusion but might require more than one. We are doing all we can to get him back on his paws and we believe this is just another bump in the road. He has overcome so much and with his strength and your love and prayers we know he will overcome this as well.

We appreciate any donation which will go to his ever growing vet bills. But Tommy is worth more than money can ever buy and we are beyond grateful to all of you for your support.
