Behalf of Steve Lesko's effort's of trying to beat the world record of the longest pickleball match, he has chosen to play for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This foundation is dear to Steve because of attempt he has had in the past. He wants to help as many people as possible who are struggling with addiction and mental health issues.

My name is Kamryn Stocker.

This cause is deeply personal to me. Mental health struggles like bipolar disorder and depression are battles so many of us fight, often in silence. I know what it feels like to carry that weight, and I know how urgent it is to bring awareness, support, and resources to those who need them most.

One year ago today, on 25 October 2024, I lost my dad to suicide. My dad was always someone I looked up to and the choice he made affects my family and I every single day. I always think about why he made this choice and what I could have done to prevent it. I would like to help provide resources to those considering committing suicide as well as providing resources to those affected by it. I am looking to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and am vowing to ruck 1 mile for every $10 raised in the month of November. Welcome to the 7th Annual Run to Remember 2025!

All funds donated here support our friends at The Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County in Fort Collins, Colorado. If you prefer to support a national cause, click here.

The Arnold Air Society: Captain Mark Giles Danielson Squadron hosts this annual run to start mental health conversations within our local Northern Colorado community, especially for military servicemembers.

The run began in 2018 in memory of 2nd Lt. Benjamin Walder, an MGD squadron and Colorado State University alumnus. He died by suicide in December 2015.

We invite you to dedicate a donation in memory of Lt. Walder, or a loved one impacted by suicide. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Why prevent suicide?

Military-related suicide is an epidemic. While we aren't crisis experts, we're doing our part to support those who are. That's why donations from the Run to Remember directly support either The Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County, whose services extend to all in Northern Colorado, or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, whose services extend across the United States.

Our members also undergo Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) training to proactively assist our peers before crisis strikes. We're grateful you're here to help us reduce the stigma around suicide.

This year's race begins at 9:00 a.m. at Spring Canyon Park. Keep an eye out for messages along the path!

We'll have light refreshments available at the park following the event.

We're a group of friends who grew up together in Rochester, Minnesota. On November 8-9, 2025, we'll be at the Madison Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 10K to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

All of us running this race have lost a friend to suicide, and we are running to remember them and to help stop suicide from happening again. Many of us also haven't seen each other in years, and we look forward to reuniting again to support an important cause.
