I probably can’t run this half marathon.
but when I do, I would like to raise money to try and help raise awareness for the AFSP, which helps raise awareness for suicide prevention. Every year, nearly 50,000 Americans commit suicide, almost 80% of which are men.
I lost my brother, Dustin, to suicide. While all I have of him is faint memories and old photos, men’s mental health is extremely important to me… something I personally have struggled with at different points in my life. No person, man or woman, deserves to feel alone.
I am in no shape to run this race, that I know for sure. But with every step I take, I hope to raise awareness for the AFSP and make sure that each day, more people move out of the darkness,
100% of proceeds will be donated. Thanks for the time. 13.1 miles won’t be that far after all.
