Water4Life Global July Mission Trip

We are Water4Life Global, founded in November 2018. Our mission is to supply a reliable and accessible source of clean drinking water for people who drink contaminated water on a daily basis. Our main focus is in Guatemala where many villages are greatly affected, especially from Volcano Fuego which erupted in June last year, contaminating many wells and rivers which are the main source of water for most Guatemalans.
Steps of service:
1) We raise awareness and funds to purchase water filter technology
2) Our global water ambassador network travels and delivers the water filters
3) We teach each other and educate each village on how to properly use the clean water technology
Each water filter set up costs $25 including the water filter, bucket, and shipping. 1 water filter = 500,000 gallons of clean drinking water per family. There are normally around 8 people per family. For example... If someone donates 50 water filters it looks like this...
50 filters x 8 people = 400 lives changed.
50 filters x 500,000 gallons = 25,000,000 gallons of clean drinking water.
LIFE CHANGING.
Just this past Monday, we sent a group of 6 people on a mission trip called "Travel with a Purpose" to meet my teammate Jenna, where they will be distributing water filters and demonstrating how they are used to each village they visit. It is our duty to be active in the field while raising money. There isn't much time to waste especially after hearing the statistic that every 20 seconds a child's life is taken from a water-related disease.
Not only are we raising funds and awareness on the global water crisis, but we also came across a huge life changing opportunity for some fellow humans. In January of this year, we had our first distribution trip as Water4Life Global in Guatemala. We had the opportunity to help feed families who live at the dump in Guatemala. These families live their everyday life searching for plastic. 100 pounds of plastic = $2 American dollars. Watching these sweet young children running around at the dump breathing in toxic chemicals is something that should never be seen. We took this to heart and decided as a team that we are going to raise $10,000 to get these families out of the dump and teach them a trade. We will be teaching them how to build chicken coops, raise chickens properly, and sell their eggs to provide sustainability within their families and begin to build a community. This is just the beginning.
