<div>Eight months ago, Axton was just like any other happy, active three-year-old. He ran, played, laughed, and brought constant joy to those around him. No one could have imagined how quickly everything would change.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Axton has since been diagnosed with Krabbe Disease — an extremely rare and devastating disease that attacks the myelin sheath around the nerves in the brain and central nervous system. The disease effects many basic functions including movement and muscle control, swallowing and feeding, vision and hearing, speech and cognitive function. It is terminal, there is no cure, and the deterioration for Axton has been rapid.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In such a short time, this beautiful little boy has lost so much. What began as subtle issues with his walking has progressed at a heartbreaking pace. Axton can no longer walk, stand, or even sit up on his own. He cannot feed himself and now relies completely on others for his care. His speech has been affected, and he is experiencing vision problems. The speed of this decline has been devastating for his family to witness.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>His parents, Steve and Jami, are doing everything they can to surround Axton with love, comfort, and care through every moment. Both parents have had to step away from work to stay at home to care for Axton and support their family through this heartbreaking situation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser has been created to help ease the financial pressure of daily living expenses and ongoing care, so Steve and Jami can focus entirely on what matters most — being there for Axton and to make the most of the time they have left together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this page, would mean the world to them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read Axton’s story and for keeping him, Steve, and Jami in your thoughts.

<div><strong>Forever Twenty-Five - Remembering Sav and Supporting Lachie After the Loss of his wife</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our hearts are broken following the devastating loss of our beautiful Savannah.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Savannah was one of those rare people who made life feel lighter just by being in it. Born and raised on the Gold Coast, she carried that easy-going warmth everywhere she went. She was down to earth, effortlessly funny, endlessly charismatic, and the kind of person whose beauty went far beyond what you could see. She made people feel welcome, valued, and loved, often without even realising the impact she had.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sav and Lachie had been together since 2017 and were approaching their second wedding anniversary at the end of this month. Together they built a beautiful life, living in Sydney, the Gold Coast, and most recently the Northern Beaches of Cairns with their two beloved dogs, Hazel and Marley. They had recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of building their very first home together - a home filled with love, laughter, and plans for the future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No one could have imagined that their beautiful journey together would be cut so tragically short.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As Lachie faces the unimaginable heartbreak of losing the love of his life, we want to give him the gift of time. As a self-employed carpenter, he doesn't have the security of paid leave. Our hope is to ease the financial burden of the mortgage and everyday living expenses, allowing him the time and space to grieve while surrounded by family and friends.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>So many people have reached out asking how they can help. This GoFundMe is a way for family, friends, and the wider community to support Lachie in a practical and meaningful way during the hardest time of his life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping Lachie navigate the months ahead. If you're unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping him in your thoughts means just as much.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. Savannah was deeply loved, and she will be forever remembered.
