Walkley Events Collective

Walkley Events Collective CIC is a volunteer run group who puts community events on in Walkley, Sheffield S6 throughout the year. Walkley Festival is a very special event for us and is a huge celebration of what Walkley has to offer, bringing together musicians, small businesses, artists, entertainers, community groups, charities, families and people from all walks of life in and around Walkley. It costs more than a whopping £12,000 to put on Walkley Festival, our free event in Ruskin Park (depending on the size of the event……think toilet hire, stewards, licenses, insurance, stage hire, sound hire, sound engineers, marquee hire, entertainers…..) and this has been possible over recent years due to the Sheffield Council Economic Recovery Fund money. ERF has now finished, and to maintain the scale and quality of the event, we now have to fund this ourselves. We run a number of fund raising events throughout the year to help fund this fantastic community event. We brought Walkley Festival event back to Ruskin Park in 2026 thanks to your help. We all had such an amazing time, we would like to do it all again next year and ask for your donations no matter the size, to help contribute towards the infrastructure of the festival. However we continue to need your help in supporting all of our events, by attending, volunteering and donating. Thank you. It costs more than a whopping £12,000 to put on Walkley Festival, our free event in Ruskin Park (depending on the size of the event……think toilet hire, stewards, licenses, insurance, stage hire, sound hire, sound engineers, marquee hire, entertainers, climbing walls…..) and this has been possible over recent years due to the Sheffield Council Economic Recovery Fund money. ERF has now finished, and to maintain the scale and quality of the event, we now have to fund this ourselves. We’ve run a number of fund raising events this year and are pursuing alternative pots of grant funding but unfortunately we’re not in a position to put on this FREE event in 2025. The GOOD NEWS is that we have big plans to bring the Walkley Festival event back to Ruskin Park in 2026!! However we continue to need your help in supporting our events, by attending, volunteering and donating.
