As you all know, my dad passed away on September 20, 2026. The last few years were hard for him. We weren’t on good terms when he passed, but he was still my dad and for most of my life he was a good father. He loved to talk and tell stories and tried to be there for me as much as possible. But he made some choices and said some things…and now that he’s gone, it seems pretty minor. So let’s get together to celebrate my dad’s life! I’d like to scatter half his ashes at Kealia beach and the other half up Kapahi, like he asked me to when I was a kid. I feel like May 17, 2027 (his birthday) would be a good day to come together. I’d like to have a morning paddle out and a small gathering for friends and family to talk stories and say goodbye. Aloha! P.S. If you would like to send a monetary gift, that would be awesome. I already paid for everything. And if you ever had to arrange for a loved one to be laid to rest, you know it’s not cheap! Hope I see you all next year in May. Mahalo!
