My sister U'ilani Stokes and three of my nephews, Kauila, Kahekili, and Hokupa'a, of Anahola, Kaua‘i, are facing a difficult road ahead after Hurricane Lowell completely destroyed their yurt and everything inside on the night of September 7th, 2026. Their home is currently unlivable. They are now facing the unexpected financial burden of repairing their home and replacing basic belongings.

During this difficult time, we’re asking our ʻohana, friends, and community to please come together and help them get back on their feet. Any little bit of help will go a long way in providing for their urgent needs, giving them some comfort, safety, stability, and hope as they start to rebuild. We truly appreciate all the aloha, prayers, and support.
