<div>This fundraiser has been started on behalf of the Knechtle family, who lost their family home of 40 years in the Eaton Fire that ravaged Altadena and Pasadena.

<div>The fire was incredibly swift and took everything they had except for the minimal amount of clothing they were wearing or were able to quickly gather before evacuating.

<div>Both Hermann and Marisa came to America a generation ago, working hard to build a life here and raise their two children, Brandon and Marlise, living out their American Dream. This home was their every thing.

Help the Knechtle Family After Eaton Fire Loss

<div>On Friday, October 11th at around 10pm, John was walking his dog at night in his neighborhood when a drunk driver hit him at a crosswalk. He is currently in critical condition in the emergency care unit and has severe trauma to the right side of the brain. He is still unresponsive and on sedatives at the moment.

<div>His family and friends are going through a lot of pain and grief at the moment. <strong>His family needs as much emotional and financial support during the unfortunate and devastating news that has been received over the weekend.</strong> Anyone who personally knows John understands that he does not deserve the pain that he is going through. <strong>John is such a charismatic, loyal, humble, and funny person to be around.</strong>

<div>We hope your donations of any amount and sharing this link will bring John back to full cognitive and physical capabilities. Fortunately, the drunk driver has been arrested and is in jail, and John’s family will be getting a lawyer to ensure that the drunk driver is held accountable for their wrongdoings. Furthermore, the lawyer will be hired to make sure John and his family will get financial compensation for the accident to pay for John’s rehabilitation. We are unsure of how long John needs rehab for, but his family knows it will cost a lot of money to provide him the best care that he needs.

<div>Recently, however, she faced another setback when her car suffered major mechanical issues, leaving her without essential transportation. Since Isela is a mobile massage therapist this setback has left her with very little income.

Support Isela's Journey to Stability

<div>On Friday July 7th Kayle, who is 16, was involved in a car collision while riding his motor scooter. He has 2 broken femurs, one of which punctured through the skin, areas of his face are shattered including his jaw, and a brain trauma. He is currently in a medically induced coma and is having to undergo several surgeries.

<div>Kayle has always been an active, outdoor-loving kid. This traumatic event has impacted every aspect of his and his family's life. It's going to be a very long road to recovery. Help Kayle Get Back On His Feet

Hello friends!<br /><br /><strong>Meet our princess, Icey. She is a sweet, loving 8-week old husky puppy we welcomed into our home to join our family.</strong><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/51066202_1599702840924865_r.jpeg" alt="51066202_1599702840924865_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />On Tuesday 9/1/20, we brought Icey home to our new apartment, excited to raise her as the latest addition to our home. We instantly fell in love with her playfulness, her charm, and her love for cuddles.<br /><br />In the days that followed, she began vomiting and having diarrhea consistently throughout the day. Our bright and curious baby girl was suddenly very sad and very sick. <br /><br />As concerned new puppy parents, we brought her to visit a local vet clinic on the evening of Thursday 9/3/20. After running some tests, the vet told us that we must immediately check her into a 24hr emergency veterinary hospital. <strong>What we thought was her adjusting to her new food and her new environment turned out to be a serious case of <a href="https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/what-every-puppy-owner-needs-to-know-about-parvo-in-puppies/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Parvo</a>.</strong><br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/51066202_1599703492845228_r.jpeg" alt="51066202_1599703492845228_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />Icey had to spend the next 5 nights in intensive care with the healthcare team at VCA Emergency Veterinary Hospital. Due to the severity of her infection, and the highly contagious nature of the parvovirus, she had to be kept in isolation under the close watch of her doctors and veterinary technicians.<br /><br />The  days  that followed were roller coasters - some days she did well, and others were not as good. She would eat and have energy some days, and others she would continue to vomit and have diarrhea. Despite our concern, we had faith that the staff at VCA were doing everything they can to save our puppy's life.<br /><br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/51066202_1599703890851104_r.jpeg" alt="51066202_1599703890851104_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br /><strong>Thankfully, on Tuesday 9/8/20 we received the call from Icey's doctor that she was ready to come home!</strong> Though not quite at 100% yet, Icey was doing so much better, and was ready to come home so her dads can care for her.<br /><br />We are so lucky and so grateful for all the work the staff at VCA has done to keep us comforted and up-to-date with Icey's condition throughout this scary process. However, with such great care came such great costs. The total bill at the end of her hospital stay came out to <strong>$5,132.36</strong>.<br /><br /><span style="font-size:1.0625rem;"><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/51066202_1599704838779395_r.jpeg" alt="51066202_1599704838779395_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" /><br />------------------------------------------------</span><br /><br />Today we humbly ask for assistance paying for Icey's medical expenses. I survived Parvo! Help Icey with medical fees

<p>On Thursday, August 20, 2020, our family lost a beloved father, son, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, colleague -- <strong>Sean Michael Chiranian</strong>. We are all grieving the loss of his beautiful soul, kind spirit, funny personality, and loving heart. Sean was loved by everyone. He had this infectious smile and laugh that could light up a room. He had jokes for days (we'd like to believe he got that from his dad). He leaves us with so many amazing memories that we'll cherish forever and ever. <br /><br />He leaves behind a wonderful son, Donnie, his best friend (brother), Nicholas, his younger brother, Cody, his awesome dad, Mike, his beautiful mother, Michele, and his entire family and friends. It's been a heart breaking few days, as his death was a shock to us all. Our family has been sticking together to support and comfort each other during this time.<br /><br />We're raising money for a memorable funeral arrangement for Sean and are grateful for any support. My sister and brother-in-law, The<strong> Johnsons</strong>, suffered a devastating loss of their beautiful home of 39 years in the Eaton fire in Altadena, CA. They lived there with our 92-year-old mother, and my niece and nephew, and their pet pooch. They have lost everything and escaped the fire with their lives and very, very few belongings. We all thought they would evacuate and come back in the morning to their home. I am so thankful to God that they are safe!
